I have an underlying anxiety disorder that is not controlled and I did start to panic about these symptoms which in turn probably made them worse. So after about 5 days I went to the Uro, no UTI, Urinalysis' was clear so they put me on Vesicare for overactive bladder on 10/12. I was only on it for 3 days before leaving for Vegas on the 14th - which was an AMAZING time and I had no urinary problems the whole time there (6 days) ...
I was put on Vesicare 5 mg daily and also was taking fluoxetine for depression and anxiety over this condition. After taking the meds for awhile my symptoms went away and I was symptom free for 3 years. Because of the expense of the vesicare and because I was doing so well. I decided to stop taking both medications. My bladder was fine and normal and then about a year later the symtoms came back. So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine.
The major one was abdominal cramping. I also have long standing urological problems and Vesicare was causing problems in that area as well. Headaches could have been part of it as well. The drug was tried on June 12, 2008 and even has one Rep on it.
I have most of the bottle left. I will never try it again.

I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
First, it's difficult to answer all these specifics in a forum like this. But a couple of things: often a prostate infection is not detected with urine cultures, and semen culture are required after you've been off antibiotics for a while. The two conditions can be separate OR part of the same condition. This condition is very frustrating because sometimes there is no explanation.

Sorry, I havent been around lately, but we moved into the final house and its been crazy. Just found out my mom has clots in both her legs and both her lungs, plus she has had an anyeurism near her heart now for 5 yrs.
So its been crazy.
Anyway, I think I told you about being dx with psuedo tumor cerebri. Well I just started the Diammox for it, hoping it works.
Still not dx.
which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...
can someone please tell that which medicine works best for OAB ........VESICARE,ENABLEX OR DETROL LA..........I m male and 29 yrs old ,can i also take detrol la.....Any response should be highly appreciated..........
The cyst went down but the pain around the epdidymis persisted w/ no change. After 4 weeks of Vesicare I still have no change in my nocturia. I had an ultrasound of my bladder, testicles, kidneys all normal. I then had a cystoscopy done which showed no abnormalities besides a tight sphincter. My urologist told me to continue the Vesicare which I have been doing.

i had a cmg test done today and the nusre told me it was the worst case of bladder spasm that she has ever seen and brought in other medical staff to see this they have put me on vesicare tablets 10 mg and i am wondering if there is anything else can be done i am worried in case it means i need to be catherterised because of this how likely is this ?
Also I urinat about 20 times a day and about 15 times at night yes I have tried vesicare and oxybutynin. I also have just had a bladder distention but all this was going on before the bladder distention.
ve been experiencing an increase in urination frequency...it actually started w/ anxiety and for awhile I just chalked it up to that. But then my anxiety sort of calmed down but my bladder didn't so I went to a uro-gyn first recommended by my regular gyn. I wasn't thrilled w/ the doctor in general but she said it was just anxiety and stress. I decided for a 2nd opinion at a urologist and she agreed stress was the biggest culprit but thinks I could also have an OAB.
I need to go for a swine flu jab so maybe I will just make an appointment and see my GP tomorrow. It is a side affect of Vesicare and having numbness in those regions doesn't help, I also suffer from a very dry mouth on Vesicare too, but the benefits for me at the moment out weigh the drawbacks, providing we can get my constipation under control. B.T.W. I take 10mg of Vesicare, I tried 5 but it wasn't affective in reducing my bladder spasms etc.
I have having OAB for years now, i am on vesicare medication but it is not really helping. Over the years i also been having ED here and there but recently it is getting worse...esp when i stop taking meds. Been seeing different urologist but they cant seem to find anything wrong with me. I am 34years.
Chronic infection, Interstitial cystitis, stone in urinary system and UTI can all cause blood in urine. In women it can also be endometriosis of the urinary bladder. I am sorry to say but polyps or nodules in urinary bladder are taken to be cancerous unless proved otherwise by a biopsy. You may or may not need further tests like urethroscopy, cystoscopy, IVP etc.
Please discuss this with an urologist and consult your gynecologist to rule out endometriosis. Hope this helps. Take care!
He gave me 5 mg of Vesicare to take once daily and told me to come back in a month. After 2 weeks, no relief from the Vesicare, so he gave me a 10 mg doseage. I return to see him on Monday (Feb. 11).
My problem is, I have had this pain for 4 months now. I don't know what to do about it. I have tried eliminating citrus, acids, caffeine, etc. from my diet, but those things didn't seem to make it any worse and eliminating them didn't make it any better.
they actually found out I do NOT have diabetes insipidus (despite me running to the bathroom every 15 minutes). Instead they are giving me a pill Vesicare-I start it tonite. I agree, the headaches are horrible. I get facial migraines and am extrmely sensitive to light, sun, smells and loud noises. You?
Everytime I sneeze,cough,or bend down I wet myself. The doc has tried several pills but nothing helps. Itys to the point where urine comes out of me when I have sex. I take extra uniform pants to work with me,I also where pads but sometimes the release of it is to much for a pad. I'm tired of smelling like urine, and changing my pants several times a day!!! does anyone other girls in there 30's understand this? has anybody took any pills to help this?
