Avatar m tn Take sociable garlic and vitamin E capsules to improve circulation and vitamin C and B-complex vitamins to strengthen your blood vessels, Massage your legs with upward strokes, flushing your blood up to your heart. Use a massage oil made with 3 drops of lavender oil and 1 drop of peppermint oil in a coconut oil base (use unscented coconut oil), or put only the essential oils into a small spray bottle filled with water and spray directly on your legs. 11587059 tn?1427628263 The tingling fingers and feet sound like poor blood circulation which is also related to varicose veins I think. (Varicose veins are due to blood not pumping all the way through and backlogging/leaking back into the veins.) Bruised legs also circulatory, sounds like spider veins, which are related to varicose but don't stick out and they spread out more. Itching could be circulatory as well, or puppps or liver issues or allergies or sensitive skin.
Avatar n tn I'm 16 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy and have noticed varicose veins on the backs of my knees/legs, are they permenant?
155701 tn?1230047101 I wouldn't completely rule out varicose veins because I have read that they can occasionally be painful. If that is the case & a doctor recommends they be treated, a lot of U.S. Medical Insurance plans cover this. I only mention this because I have spider veins (mostly in my right thigh) but they are just ugly, not painful, so the treatment to get rid of them is not covered by insurance.
Avatar m tn So I check to see if my blood was clotting and they siad it was fine and so was my circulation. I still have the pain and you can feel it even it you can't see the viens like in my arms I can feel the veins swell sometimes. My mother in law just had one do this next to her eye. She went in and they told her that it was because on the blood thinners that she is on??? I have talked to some people about this and some say that when the Drink green tea it makes it worse?
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am looking for support for my varicose veins! I have what would be considered a pretty severe case and I'm only 31 and male. I've had them since youth, but after all the chaos in my life in that past 5 yrs, I haven't been in touch with my body as much as usual!
Avatar f tn I personally would take this question to your doctor and make sure all is alright with the veins and circulation.
Avatar f tn That does sound like varicose veins. Often these are harmless and you can self treat but do show them to your doctor on your next visit. Prop your legs up and elevate them, you could try regular exercise which helps (if you are cleared for activity), losing some weight if you need to and compression stockings can help keep them from getting worse. If they do get worse or they really worry you, then see your doctor now about them. There are good treatments these days. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn From working long hospital shifts and pregnancy, I got a few spider veins and varicosities. Dermalmd Varicose Veins serum is supposed to help with circulation and decrease appearance of these veins. serum applies nicely. Not sticky. Veins seem to have improved and appear to be faded.
Avatar f tn If kidney, heart and liver problems have been taken care of, then the pain and swelling in the legs could be due to varicose veins with faulty valves of the deep vein causing venous pooling. A dopplar study or angiogram of the blood vessels of the leg should be done. Wearing a hose or stocking specially designed for varicose veins may help. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn These include horse chestnut, as mentioned, witch hazel, gota kola, and hot herbs which help circulation, such as cayenne. Varicose veins are caused by weakness in the vascular walls, and these herbs help strengthen them. Many companies make good formulas, including Herb Pharm and Nature's Way. Hey, Deep, stop pushing GNC. They're just not reliable, and you never know what's in their supplements.
Avatar m tn Horse chestnut is the best-known natural treatment for varicose veins. It helps prevent swelling and strengthens capillary and vein walls. The usual dose is 300 mg a day. Side effects are pretty rare, but if you start feeling itchy or nauseous, taper back your dose. Nature’s Way has a widely available, quality product. Grape seed extract also supports the walls of blood vessels. Take 150 to 300 mg in divided doses over the course of a day. I like the Activin product.
Avatar f tn I also have the same problem this is my second pregnancy and there worse. And I have them every where to where the shocking wont help. I just elevate my feet hopefully that works for u as well.
Avatar f tn Ted hoses your doctor can recommend some to help you when your standing all day. They will help prevent varicose veins and help with your circulation.
Avatar f tn My veins are very prominent and I had some varicose and ventricular ones on my legs but not to the extent of yours. They never stripped as I caught them early. They did a doplar and then administered saline injections. Once the ventricular veins had collapsed, they used laser for the smaller ones. I go in every few years and have them laser veins that are beginning to show. When My legs ache I wear those "peds" and elevate my feet at home...helps me.
Avatar n tn My mother has similar problems with her legs, and both of us bruise like tomatoes. While both my mom and I do also suffer from varicose and spider veins, this is NOT what my question is about. I am trying to determine the cause of (and hopefully treat) the all-over reddish honeycomb pattern. Has anyone heard or seen or experienced this?
Avatar n tn I had some good insurance for a few months and took care of some large varicose veins I had on same leg. I have not had a cramp since. I never knew the pooling of blood in this leg from the varicose veins contributed to my leg cramps, but apparently that was my culprit.
Avatar f tn Well this is a strange story but last year when my best friend was pregnant, one day she called me n sent me a pic on my phone of her vagina (weird) she was panicking because it looked purple n like she has varicose veins. She ended up going to her doctor n was told that that was exactly what it was.. varicose veins that happen during pregnancy. Due to bad circulation because of the added pressure on her pelvic veins. As soon as she delivered it went away.
Avatar f tn What could be causing this? I’ve also noticed the past couple weeks some possible varicose veins show up on my calf of the same leg. Not sure if that’s connected or not.
Avatar f tn Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. Here is an older question about this answered by a MedHelp doctor https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Blood-Disorders/Varicose-veins---inner-thigh-pain-/show/2027668 Here is some basic information on the condition as a whole.
Avatar m tn The thing that makes it worse in I have suffered with varicose veins in my legs which I have had treated but they seem to be coming back very quickly and I’m sure the dilation of my leg veins is accelerating this. If I am calm and feeling good I get no pain in my legs and feet but if I’m worked up I get pains in the arch of my foot and inside of my ankle below the bone, I also get a sensation in my feet of having things in my shoe mildly pressing in to my foot.
Avatar f tn I have varicose veins and had to get an ultrasound my last pregnancy for blood clots too. Luckily nothing. This time around my leg is swollen but not as painful as my last pregnancy. Good luck to you. I hope they don't find any!
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar n tn Spider web veins and varicose veins interfer with the blood circulation to lower extremites and poor circulation can cause the numbness. They form when blood flow is slow due to weak valves (valves are a one-way flap tha closes as the blood moves toward the heart to prevent backflow due to gravity. If blood returning to the heart is slower than normal due to the veins confirguration, that could cause the heart to beat faster than normal.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
