Common Questions and Answers about Vardenafil with alcohol

levitra

Avatar m tn I’ve gone through a few articles mentioning that diabetics with ED can use Generic Levitra (vardenafil). Is that true? If so, I’d like to know who has used Generic Levitra having ED and diabetes and is it safe.
Avatar n tn The PDE5 inhibitors sildenafil, vardenafil and tadalafil are competitive and reversible inhibitors of cGMP hydrolysis by the catalytic side of PDE5.
Avatar m tn Although rare, Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil) can cause muscle pain and unusual skin sensations or paresthesia. In clinical studies, Viagra caused muscle pain and paresthesia in less than 2% of patients. Patients who experience these side effects should stop taking the medication and consult their physician. These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).

1714202 tn?1352672419 m on lamictal, abilify, and ativan. Does anyone know the interactions mixing those with alcohol? Any help would be great thanks!

Avatar n tn That's 3500 mg of acetaminophen which isn't a huge amount. It is quite a bit if taken at one time though but to be honest I have taken much more than that at once and for a extended period of time. Luckily I didn't do any damage to my liver or kidneys. You should be just fine since you haven't made a habit out of it. As I'm sure you know, mixing alcohol with acetaminophen is a very bad combination so make sure you don't do that again.
Avatar m tn I’m not trying to convince anyone that they should or shouldn’t use alcohol with cooking. If it makes you nervous, don’t use it. There are alternatives. I choose to use it and seriously don’t see enough alcohol used to make a difference. ”. As far as damaging the liver, I don’t see it. I respect what Boobert stated “i'm 10 years sobor next month and vowed never to taste alcohol again”.
Avatar f tn I know not intake alcohol spike pregnant, but when you cook with it... does the alcohol evaporate just leaving you with the flavor? If so, I wanna make some.
Avatar m tn Around Nov. 2010, I had sex with a girl, who bit me during oral sex & ever since then, I’ve had problems. My penis size has decreased (I was 5.2-6.2 inches long before any of this has happened) now I am 4-4.5 inches. Sometimes my penis skin feels tight like it can't go longer, but I'm circumcised. Before any of this happened, I’d have delayed ejaculation, but now I have premature ejaculation, & I'm having difficulty getting & maintaining erections.
Avatar n tn You definitely should not be drinking alcohol with this combination of drugs. You're taking a high dose of xanax - that alone with alcohol would cause the effects of the alcohol to be exacerated. Mixing the two could also be fatal. Both are central nervous system depressants. Drinking alcohol may also increase your risk of certain Abilify side effects, such as drowsiness or low blood pressure (when sitting or standing up). You may also be more sensitive to the effects of alcohol.
1259902 tn?1269660681 Many people find life easier to deal with by consuming alcohol, self medicating. We all know this can be a slippery slope so you need to tread lightly with this. Since your anxiety gets worse after drinking....why drink? Panic attacks are not worth a couple of drinks in my opinion. Take care....
1084115 tn?1385228589 The fruitcakes were baked 6 weeks in advance, kept tightly wrapped in the refridgerator, and rum or some other alcohol was added daily and the fruitcakes were turned daily. Those fruitcakes were saturated with alcohol. Anyway, not to put a damper on things, but some baked goods with alcohol have the alcohol added after baking.
Avatar m tn I think I have finally had enough. After taking that pill last night and risking danger to my liver along with the alcohol I have decided to try to quit.
Avatar f tn As the previous poster has stated, NEVER mix alcohol with an anti-depressant. Alcohol is a depressant, and the two combined can cause depression to come back and at times become worse. You can also take too much of one and OD. It will also increase the effects of the medicine, and in some cases this is not a good thing to have.
Avatar m tn Your body can store sugar, fat, and water, but it has no way to deal with alcohol other than to filter it out. When alcohol gets into your bloodstream, your body essentially treats it like poison and prioritizes processing it. Your body works to process alcohol first so that other things like the water and sugar may go to storage, causing water retention. Fluids start to collect in your body tissue, and gravity makes water collect in your feet and sometimes your hands.
1621722 tn?1333050499 Welcome to the forum. None of us are qualified to give you any sort of diagnosis, especially online. If you're using alcohol as a way to deal with anxiety and depression, you could be heading down a slippery slope. It already sounds as though you need to figure out exactly how bad your "problem" with alcohol is...and the sooner the better, before it gets any worse.
967168 tn?1477584489 still no info on why this recommendation on my cardiac cath and no alcohol; however I did find this - Limit alcohol intake.
718543 tn?1230295284 I am sorry you are going through this bought with depression. The Alcohol threads are always controversial here. Normally, I am from the camp that if you have minimal liver damage and you would like to have an occasional drink, go for it. However, drinking because of depression can be flirting with disaster (especially if you have a past history of diving to the bottom of a bottle to ease depression). I know very little about co-infection and it’s effects on the liver.
