Avatar n tn Have you used Valsartan for treatment of hypertension patients in high risk patients? Are you aware about the combination Valsartan and Amlodipine to treat hypertension in high risk patients? How its is better than Telmisarton and Amlodipine combination?
Avatar n tn -( 3 days on valsartan and I was having horrible side effects of dizziness, rapid heart rate, general feeling of crappiness, even slight shortness of breath with the slightest exertion None of which I experienced with the benazepril. Called the dr, he told me to stop the valsartan, don't take anything for 2 days and then back on the benazepril and see him next week.
459164 tn?1206363843 Hi, there is no such information which conclusively states that valsartan may cause cellulitis or increase its intensity or duration. Have you taken valsartan and also have a concurrent skin infection? If yes, have you talked to your doctor about it and taken any medication for it? Please keep us posted and let us know if you have any other queries.
Avatar m tn My new VA doctor wants to change one of my blood pressure medications from 160 mg of Valsartan 2 times per day to an equivalent dose of 100 mg of Losartan but only once per day. My blood pressure has been controlled for years with typical readings around 118/70 using the Valsartan, Amlodipine 5mg, and a diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide 25mg). I have not made the change yet. 1. Why should I agree to experiment with reducing my primary blood pressure medication and what are the risks?
Avatar f tn I am so confused because I have too many issues that can cause the same symptoms. Recently, my doctor switched me from Valsartan HCTZ to Hydrochlorothiazide plus regular Valsartan for my blood pressure. When I first started it, right away I was having rapid heart beat and shortness of breath so he told me take potassium supplements. That did help but now I am wondering if I am taking too much potassium.
Avatar n tn I've taken Valsartan since 2010 successfully. It controls my BP well.
535822 tn?1443976780 money but in my opinion if you can come up with some it is worth looking at Land ,and properties, the piece I looked at was almost 3 acres, had 2 wells and Power to the property...a long drive and exclusive neighbours.,plus the most terrific view, now remember this is about 1 hour plus from the beach, the Realtor told me the other day that the price of this piece was$ 59.
Avatar n tn Could this be the problem of my high blood pressure. Recently I was put on Valsartan HCT and I feel awful. Tired spaced cold...
514349 tn?1272801633 //www.webmd.com/hypertension-high-blood-pressure/valsartan-losatran-bp-med-recalls-2018-19. Basically, the risk is 'very small'. If 8,000 people took the medication that had the NDEA in it every single day for 4 years, there might be ONE case of cancer in those 8,000 people. But since it can happen, they recalled it. And hey, I'd not want to take a drug that had potential cancer risk associated with it. So, I wouldn't be too worried over all.
Avatar n tn One of the vets mentions skin grafts and physical therapy, which would be great but very expensive. Are there any other options out there?
Avatar m tn Instructions for Viagra, Cialis, etc. say not to take w/ BP meds. I'm thinking there are a cpl possibilities. Diovan (Valsartan) is available in different doses (20 mg, 40 mg, etc.), so maybe you could take a lower dose on the day you'll be using Viagra. Or possibly just skip your usual dose that day, then resume the next. However, your Dr. may not agree. I think the best strategy is to ask your Dr. about using these 2 drugs at the same time.
Avatar m tn About me: I'm 32 years old, male and have had mild Vertigo symptoms for 9 months now. The symptoms of feeling like I just got off a boat are constant and happen 80% of the day, all day every day. I have never fallen over from it but it does greatly affect my quality of life. About my medical past: Had Bells Palsy in April 2014 on my left side of my face (MRI, CT, Xrays done to make sure it wasn't a stroke), cleared up by June/July 2014. Vertigo like symptoms started in August 2014..

Avatar f tn m taking 80 mg of Diovan (Valsartan). My kidney doctor prescribed this knowing of my liver issues and he did do some research to determine a medication that was 'easier' on the liver.
723785 tn?1276435564 it is a synthetic opiate, its not very potent about 150mgs is equal to 60mgs codeine which is a very low potency opiate...
Avatar n tn Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine derivative having anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and very potent anxiolytic properties.[1] It is marketed by Roche under the trade-names Klonopin in the United States, and Ravotril in Chile. Other names like Rivotril or Rivatril are known throughout the large majority of the rest of the world. Clonazepam is marketed as Paxam in Australia.
Avatar n tn I have some sort of connective tissue problem (not Marfan, but perhaps MASS syndrome), and I began using ARBs (valsartan) a few years ago, when this research first debuted. I graduated to a maximal dose (320mg/valsartan/day) about a year and a half ago. I don't know if this is wishful thinking or what, but my myopic progression and aortic dilatation both seem to have completely stopped (and aortic dilatation actually appears to be reversing to normal size).
Avatar m tn I could not lay down and sleep and spent most of my time in a recliner chair to sleep. I was placed on Coreg and was also on Valsartan, diuretics, a low sodium diet and low fluid intake. My Pulse rate went from 107 to currently between 70's and 80's. PRO BNP lower 1800 points and can now take a full breath and sleep in my bed without any problems. I have more energy and I am able to go on treadmill for 15 min and walk every evening without feeling out of breath.
Avatar n tn It is not considered a narcotic but some people can become addicted to it but I think that is just a physical addiction and the doc can get you off by gradually lowering the dosage. I took it for years and really liked it because it was not a narcotic but it can effect your liver and that is what happened to me, so I had to go off of it. Going off was no problem especially since they replaced it with a different pain med.
Avatar n tn s strange that Levothyroxine used to work for me until 3years ago when I started to take Bisoprolol-5mg in addition to Valsartan-160 mg for highBP
Avatar n tn t have EDS, but my aortic root is at the high end of normal, and I might have some mild degree of connective tissue problem (not enough of anything for a diagnosis), but the enlarging of my aorta was completely stopped by taking max dose of valsartan (similar to cozaar (ARB)). Many other people I know w/ connective tissue problems like MFS have had the same results, or aortic shrinkage. I have not yet heard of anyone taking a proper dose of ARB and continuing aortic enlargement.
Avatar m tn Her doctor has prescribed her Aspirin, Atorvastatin Calcium, Frusemide, Spironolactone, Carvedilol, Sacubitril 24 mg + Valsartan 26 mg. Is there any chance that her LVEF would increase? Her NT-proBNP was found to be 390 pg/ml is that something to be worried about?
Avatar m tn I want to know whether it needs to be performed immediately or there is any other alternative to CABG for this patient. He is now normal and doctors have prescribed him valsartan, atorvastatin, clopidogrel and aspirin capsules.
Avatar f tn I was on lexapro but started sweating and got heart palpitations once I increased the dose from 5 to 7.5. Pharmacist said I need a antidepressant with sedative properties to help with my insomnia, which is made worse with having to go back on thyroid medication. If anyone has any suggestions I appreciate it, thank you.
