I am unsure y u r trying to avoid potassium as it is one of the items lacking when u dehydrate...many with chiari may have low levels of magnesium and potassium.
Avatar n tn I've been told I should increase my electrolyte intake. I've done so but am still having problems. I'm wondering if it's because of the type of electrolytes I've been using, mainly potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. I'm mainly interested in the best electrolytes for neural and brain health and was wondering if someone could suggest me some. I'm kind of interested in magnesium chloride.

1618806 tn?1304734477 Salad binge?! I eat salads every day. LOL! But I'm highly concerned about the advice your dishing out about Ms. Dash. Ms. Dash IS NOT a salt substitute it is merely a salt replacement. There's a WORLD of difference between Ms. Dash and Morton Salt Substitute (for example) which is loaded with Potassium Chloride. If you take the time to read the ingredients on ANY Ms. Dash flavors, you'll find nothing but herbs and spices, there's absolutely NO potassium chloride in it.

Chloride there is not much on.

Avatar m tn As long as they're clean, and I'm assuming you're using as hot of water as the clothes will allow for, there should be nothing to worry about. No need to panic. It's amazing what a little soap and hot water will do. If you're really worried, wash a second time and add white vinegar to the fabric softener cycle. It's a natural fabric softener and vinegar is a natural disinfectant that works well on molds and fungus on surfaces, too. I have serious allergies.
Avatar m tn This is supposed to be a safe technology yet something in our water softener is causing a very grave problem in my families health. Over time we have realized that the water that goes through our ion-exchange softener is not suitable for pretty much anything let alone drinking. Let me explain the situation from the beginning. I will try to be to the point. When we moved into our new home we were new to water softener technology and weren't told you could not drink the water.
Avatar m tn Electrolytes like sodium, potassium and chloride should be part of some of your bloodwork throughout TX. That much water under normal conditions would be harmful, diluting them too much, but the drugs seriously deplete H2O in the cells so you need it all. Do what your body tells you.
