The heart doc told me I have made him a believer in vegetarian diet - I have loosely followed a Dean Ornish kind of diet for about 10 years and the cardo said there is very little cholesterol or gunk in my heart for a guy of 63. The artery that was the problem had grown into the heart muscle so was being squeezed when heart contracted nothing exercise or diet could do to lessen that one. A-Fib is still about but I'm optimistic.
I badly want to hear some good news from somebody else here!

Hmmm. Maybe they are diffrent then. I am in the USA I am in Atlanta GA. I was looking at clinical trials. gov after they called me to look it up and I think the one i am participating in is enrolling a little over 1,000. I am not sure though. I was just so excited that they called me that I didnt ask to many questions because my doctor and I had already talked about it when he asked me if he could put my name on the list.
When I was first diagnosed I did do a lot of Googling and what I found was a lot of outdated information. Yes, there is some current information on the net, but there is a lot more outdated information on the net than there is current information. Reading outdated information can be very scary. I think it is extremely helpful for new people who are just learning about Hep C to ask questions and obtain information from people who have been dealing with Hep C for a long time.

I have read alot about the Hcg diet and I want to give it a try. I don't have a doctor in my area so I want to try it onmy on with the book. Can someone please tell me where I can buy the Hcg drops?? for breakfast you can have 2 to 3 net carbs, lunch 3 to 4 net carbs, and for dinner 4 to 5 net carbs. Of course i ususally only have 3 to 4 for lunch and 3 to 4 for dinner. They have put me on a 1800 calorie diet, but i ususally only eat around 1200, but only because im just not that hungry. Also you are supposed to eat about every 4 hours. so for snack you can have 1 to 2 net carbs. a good snack is carrots and lt. ranch or pretzel sticks w' 1 tblspoon of peanut butter.
