Avatar f tn in the afternoon she did the ultrasound again for the heartbeat which she saying that its very low n fetal development is slow as it show that its 5 weeks 6 days n she said its not possible that our measurement is wrong so for sure its going towards miscarriage n she said we have to monitor your body till there is a heartbeat as i have no spotting or bleeding yet.
Avatar f tn I was Watching a video on fetal development and I finally felt my baby actually kick as apposes to just movement. It was so strong it scared me Haha. Have felt a few more sense. I'm too happy!
Avatar f tn wants me to come in for an early sono to rule out an early miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy or the loss of a twin. Has anyone experienced this? My hcg numbers they said were good but didn't double at first, so they said they are just being cautious.
Avatar n tn So if you are only 5 weeks it sounds like your development is very good seeing both a fetal pole and hb. Did he mention what the heartrate was?? I am not sure what the "likely" fetal pole means because if there is a heartbeat then there is definitely a fetal pole there!! The hcg values vary so much that it seems it would be hard to gauge development by the hcg level except that they say you won't see anything on u/s until you are over 1000 or so. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn My Mom had to have an emergency c section with my little twin sisters and was able to have a vaginal birth with my little brother after that and he went 40 weeks and was well over 9lbs but she had no complications. My Mom did see a midwife with my little brother and so I think that is why she was not pressured into another c section or induction. Best of luck to you!
Avatar f tn Polyhydramnios is especially likely in the case of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, in which one twin has too little amniotic fluid while the other has too much. Genetic abnormalities Babies with very high fluid levels are more likely to have a genetic abnormality such as Down syndrome.
Avatar f tn Pregnant w fraternal twins. One twin is 9wks 4days old with heartbeat, yolk sac, and gestational sac; while the other has no cardiac activity and yolk sac, but has a gestational sac at 7wks 4days old? Could the twin w/out heartbeat be developing slow or is it in fact no viable?
Avatar f tn The fetal heart undergoes a considerable amount of growth very early in pregnancy. The most critical period of its development is between three and seven weeks after fertilization, when a simple heart tube assumes the shape of a four-chambered heart. In fact, the heart actually begins beating by the 22nd day of life.
Avatar f tn m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn I am pregnant with twins and at my 6 weeks scan, Baby A only had the sac but no fetal pole and no hb. Baby B had sac, fetal pole at hb of 107. At my 8 weeks scan, we could see the fetal pole for Baby A and even a hb of 92 but was only measuring 6 weeks, 2 days instead of 8 weeks. Baby B was measuring on target at 8 weeks and had hb of 158. Dr. also told me that Baby A might not make it as Baby A was measuring almost two weeks behind and hb shoudl have been over 120 at this point.
Avatar n tn Hi, i had my fetal echo on 26th week and found there is mild TR for twin A. Apart from that everything else iz Normal. I had a follow up echo on 32nd week, in that too twin A has same issue. Doc told it can be normal , and may appear in normal babies too.. i m a bit worried. Anything serious can happen bcos of this??

Avatar f tn This dr view of vaginal u/s- 1 gestational sac, 2 yolk sacs; I yolk has no fetal pole. Other yolk sac too large for fetal pole (abnormal preg) and no heart beat. Also said I'm at 6 weeks. However, other yolk sac much smaller- younger. Dr said I became pregnant at 2 different times. She says they are NOT twins. The 6 week old fetal pole w/o heartbeat she figures will be absorbed or I will miscarry both. I am so confused. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing of gone thru it.
Avatar n tn I am currently 10w0d pregnant. At 6w0d, an ultrasound showed two gestational sacs - one with a fetal pole and one that appeared empty. At 6w3d, an u/s only showed one sac which included a fetal pole and the other sac seemed to have disappeared. I read up on "vanishing twin syndrome" (VTS) and learned that there should be no adverse impact to the remaining embryo and that my body would likely reabsorb the content of the second gestational sac.
Avatar f tn We were a bit surprised to find out on our 1st ultrasound at 5w6d that we were having twins. Baby A had a sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat. Baby B had a sac, fetal pole and hb of 107. Now 2 weeks later, just had another u/s and Baby B is on target measuring at 8 weeks and hb of 158. Baby A has a fetal pole now but low hb of only 92. Dr said that might be a demise of Baby A as Baby A was measuring only 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks.
Avatar f tn i dont know what to say to her so that she gives it as little importance as possible and moves on. worst of all her twin sister is mad at the fact that we, the other twin and i, are keeping secrets from her. any advice on how to handle this situation safely? thank you.
Avatar f tn I posted recently about my Dr pushing a c-section. I've since been given more information about the situation and have come to terms with the operation as it will be safest for my babies. Baby a has iugr, but is monitored twice a week. So now I'm 35+1 with my identical twin girls. Today my c-section was scheduled for April 2nd, when I will be 37+3.
