148588 tn?1465778809 The favorable treatment of real estate developers is just one example of the way the tax code rewards real estate development and investment. The popular tax deduction for home ownership is another, and one of the costliest in the overall code. "Real estate is a very powerful lobby in Washington," Sheppard says. "There used to be a running joke that it would be cheaper for the government to make real estate tax-exempt.
Avatar f tn This is only kind of on topic, but I can tell you that there are real estate agents here really promoting and pushing purchasing US real estate as an investment. There are seminars and classes you can take on it, and our local banks will finance it. It's the big trend right now, particularly in Arizona.
237039 tn?1264258057 I had always said no to statins in the past because I had infectious hepatitis (not any type C, caught it from my younger brother) as a child and feared I had liver damage from that. But when the doctor called after that test I decided I would try Tricor. (fenofibrate I think is what it is) I took it for a month, then stopped, then again a month later took it for a month. Then stopped again. My brother jumped all over me this year and is forcing me to take it.
252327 tn?1250183976 Hey everyone, are any of you on synthroid and on Tricor? If you have been reading my posts you will have seen that I have been having problems with shortness of breath and palputations, Thinking it was my synthroid I started adjusting my dose. Then I did have a slight problem with peanut allergies. After not eating peanuts, the breathing problems and palputations continued. Last night I looked up the side effects of tricor ( I started them mid December) by Christmas the problems started.
822804 tn?1298226302 Have they suggested taking a statin? My trigs are actually over 2100. I take Tricor to keep these down.
Avatar n tn Its particularly worse combined with tricor. The pain actually feels like its in my bones at the joints. I have taken tricor for almost 20 years and I just started having this problem about 6-8 months ago. The pain in the morning makes me feel like I am 100 and my body is betraying me! This is what I noticed that changed. I initially started off on the brand name fenofibrate, Tricor - had no problems. Then they added Crestor(name brand) because that was the only people that made it.
Avatar f tn , which explains how pain comes from the body map of the body in the brain, and chronic pain can come from there, and can be cured by forcing the brain to unwire the pain by insisting that something else is more important, and the brain has limited real estate, and something else next to the body map needs more real estate, and that something else will take over the real estate currently being used to generate pain and use it for it's own purpose, freeing the patient of pain.
Avatar f tn My brother and I both have this and it is totally under control with meds for both of us. My triglycerides were over 2100 before I started taking Tricor. My brother takes Tricor and Lovastatin. Both of us now have normal readings.

Avatar n tn There is a very potent medicine in the drug class known as fenofibrates, named Tricor that was created to specifically reduce triglycerides. It works great, but carries the same warnings as statins. Also, Tricor should not be taken with statins but sometimes is in very extreme cases of total high cholesterol and triglycerides. My total cholesterol at the time was 486.

Avatar n tn In addition to that of course I have to take a statin and Tricor. Good news is that Tricor will have a generic out in May. I was also told by my pharmicist that Plavix has a generic coming out in July. Ask your pharmicist if there is a generic of Niaspan due out any time soon. And as Flycaster has stated, with the Niacin there is a flushing feeling also. It only bothered me if I didn't take an aspirin just before taking the niacin. My doctor told me about that.
745393 tn?1345077196 I have tried a lot of meds for this condition, have taken advicor, lipitor, crestor, zetia, tricor, provastatin, niaspan, gemfibronil. All of these choles meds causes me to ache in my muscles very very bad, and dr. says this could be a serious situation. I need to know from someone please what can I take now ?. Avatar m tn Because of my extremely high trigs I take Tricor, but wonder if I should also be taking a statin. My cholesterol is out of whack all across the board. I have heard that taking a statin with Tricor is not wise. Any thoughts on this, Jon?
Avatar f tn m 36 weeks with twins. Your belly just has less real estate, making it harder and harder to eat. I also prefer cold things...I go through a lot of ice every day!!! I began using Metagenics Biopure protein powder in smoothies and I love it. A little pricey but worth it...there's no way I could eat the amount of protein that I'm supposed to otherwise!
435139 tn?1255460391 Hi ladies, OT but just wondering if anyone was in the real estate biz or knew something about it: My mom is looking to buy a mobile home in a park very close to my home (which is nice!)...my husband and i bought our house last year without a real estate agent, it was a fsbo, and we wanted the home so bad, we paid asking price because we were afraid to play games...
649848 tn?1534633700 But the first family that saw it made an offer, a pretty good one, so we might not wait for any (possibly mythical) bidding wars. The real-estate agent thinks interest rates have gotten people nervous. I think we should give it more time (our last house took two weeks to get good offers), but I'd hate to be stupid and lose the best chance. In the meantime we're more or less living out of boxes in the new house, so now that the old house is clean and tidy, I'm on that task.
229857 tn?1319029907 We were living in Los Angeles for the past 2 years but then we came here to Florida because he got a real estate job (He is a realtor) and when we got here and he went to meet his new boss the company had been closed. It was called Capital Real Estate Group... ssoo.. he went back to find work there again and left us here until he gets a job and a house out there... Where do you live in CA?
Avatar f tn We both like carter but Cooper Carter Realty is a big real estate in our town so I'm really put off by it now.
Avatar f tn It's totally normal for your baby to stop moving as much in the last few weeks. My doctor says they "run out of real estate". As for the cramps... I'm not sure, could be a little Braxton hicks or maybe your pelvic area is just adjusting for birth.
Avatar f tn The case has echoes of the late Leona Helmsley. In 2007, the New York real estate magnate left a $12 million trust fund to Trouble, her pet Maltese. A judge later cut that down to $2 million and directed the rest go to charity. Under the terms of Ms. Posner's trust, the mansion is to be sold after her dogs die, and the proceeds donated to charity. But the Posner dispute has a grimmer backdrop.
