I'm also on Plavix (due to a TIA), which I understand can also cause hair loss. I started on it shortly before beginning to exhibit thyroid symptons. I've had breast cancer, so can't take estrogen.

I get the pellets. They are implanted under the skin on my hip about every 3-5 months. I also recommend seeing a doctor that specializes in bioidentical hormones and menopause. Good luck!

And I am so tired. I take a host of supplements, and use a red laser about 3 times a week. I have had no exercise in the last few months though and alot of stress. I weigh 115 at 5'3. Any advice other than cry and add exercise back in as well as quit my profession lol?

215752 tn?1278004771 I want to say that IVF meds CAN cause hair loss for certain. My doctor confirmed it with me and said while it is not as common they can have that side effect. I should know because on Menopur, Femara and other drugs my hair has massively massively fallen out. It has been SO distressing and upsetting, beyond words. Simply horrible to have this problem on top of infertility. I don't think I can even continue this side effects are so bad.

I have been off of the supplement for about 6 days now, and my hair is still falling out. I'm taking other vitamins, including Biotin, B complex, fish oil, iron, zinc, vitamin D, and magnesium, in hopes of encouraging hair growth, but my hair continues to fall out and it's becoming very concerning.

Avatar f tn Its not topical its pill form but its provably the same either way right? And man I don't know why people would say to take it for hair loss. I've read on other sites that it can help hair loss but I think its bad to use it for the wrong reason and could do harm to your body.
721523 tn?1331581802 My sister who is dx with MS started losing her hair and she thought it was due to the meds she was taking but went to the doctor and got tested and they found she had to much testastarone in her system so they gave her some meds to level it out with the estrogen and she is doing well with no more hair loss. And she regrew the hair she lost. I hope you find out what is causing the hair loss.
