3140085 tn?1342843508 Find out what pharmasewticals (sp) make your medication. They have a scholorship program that you can fill out the paperwork and possibly get your medications for $0.00. Ask your doctor's receptionist about it. She should be able to help.
199177 tn?1490498534 I was reading the post about suboxone prices ,someone wanted to know if the was any assistance for the cost . I did some research this is what I found RECKITT BENCKISER suboxone patient assistance programs 1-866-512-2216 I don't know what are the guidelines but its worth a call . Any little bit I am sure would be very helpful. If I find anything else I will post it.
Avatar f tn I looked it up, the stuff they refer to as topamax light is called zonegran. They said it was similar to topamax, but with less of the side effects as with topamax. No one has done the tilt table test on me....my drs really haven't done much with me. I have a blood pressure/heart rate monitor and I did it myself though. Laying down, sitting up, then standing, right? My blood pressure, which is on the low end of normal, (average 100/60) varied normally i think, as did my heart rate.
Avatar f tn Topamax, there was aconversation about it, that hair loss is a side effect is topamax doing this are the cause is taking other meds with topamax can cause this?
Avatar m tn Hi, From my previous posts...I was injured in a rocket explosion in Baghdad 4 months ago. I was knocked out for a few seconds and suffered a head concussion. Since coming back home, I started to have migraine like headaches along with other post mTBI symptoms (dizziness, cognative problems, etc). Anyway, my neurologist is treating me currently with 25mg Nortriptyline and 25mg Topamax at night. They have helped (more so the Topamax).
Avatar f tn I take the birth control pill Minastrin 24 Fe and for about a month now I have been taking Topamax as a mood stabilizer. I recently had unprotected sex and I read that Topamax may interfere with oral contraceptives. If I still take my birth control pill at the same time everyday, should I be protected from pregnancy?
1622229 tn?1299050798 I wanted to share some encouraging news for people who have Chronic Hep B and have financial difficulty affording Baraclude. I contacted Brystol Myers Squibb and applied for the Patient Assistance Program. The website and application is here: http://www.bms.com/products/Pages/programs.aspx It took about a week and they have approved me to receive the medication and are shipping it to my home.
Avatar f tn This is my understanding of the patient assistance programs for Incivek. The list price, which no patient will have to end up paying, is $49,200 for 12 weeks. HOWEVER, the patient assistance programs, are more than generous. Typical Co-pay for the three prescriptions that will be needed will be between $50 and $250 each.
1713494 tn?1327519682 Would your local mental health service have access to that information? Maybe whereever you go for governement assistance (financially) they may have some info. Have you tried a google search?
Avatar f tn Without the patient assistance program I probably wouldn't be SVR - when my insurance refused to let me extend, they coudln't have made it easier and didn't even make me feel bad about needing them to help.
Avatar f tn I found some literature that was published about a psychiatric patient who developed hyperthyroid while taking Topamax, but he was also on Lithium and I think that is now known to disrupt thyroid functioning if I am not mistaken? I'd still be curious to hear more stories about other people who have developed thyroid problems while taking the medication though.
Avatar n tn I am also on Copaxone - can I suggest that you talk with them again at Shared Solutions and ask what criteria they use for patient assistance? They fund for people without insurance or underinsured through NORD - national organization of rare disease. Unfortunately it sometimes takes more than one phone call to connect with the right people at SS to get help. If you can't work it out with SS you might talk to your neurologist about other options.
998260 tn?1277731559 Looks for the class of drugs that treat trigeminal neuralgia, which is probably what you have since a facial nerve is effected. Gabapentin, topamax, keppra, etc. All have side effects so you have to try and see what works for you. Have you thought of botox? That may deaden the nerve - issue may be how it effects the eye which is why I could not do it.
Avatar m tn Hi Trudie, Topamax is a drug for Epilepsy! Epilepsy is created by over active Brain cells! Fibromyalgia is created by over active nerves! Therefore some Epilepsy medications are prescribed for Fibromyalgia as they work in the same way in which to calm the nerves. My Fiance' has been prescribed Savella, Lyrica & Cymbalta and found the side affects worse than the pain, many members on this site state the same about the side affects of the 3 drugs.
Avatar m tn If in need, call the Schering-Plough Patient Assistance Program at 1-800-521-7157 and/or the Roche Patient Assistance Program at 1-877-757-6243. November 10, 2008 http://www.hepatitis-central.com/mt/archives/2008/11/choosing_and_af.
572651 tn?1530999357 There are so many drug assistance programs out there for us in the US who are not on medicare/medicaid or live in Massachussetts. I'm thinking it might be helpful to start a thread of some of these so everyone is taking full advantage of the drug companies' generosity. Ok, you know I'm being facetious with that comment - they want us to take their drug and are bribing us to do so by helping with the copay.
Avatar f tn If you go on tysabri, or any other drugs, be sure and get on their patient assistance program. It is great help with the co-pays.
Avatar f tn well I have not experienced that since starting the topamax, but have had the issue as a result of chiari b4 surgery and have had it occasionally since... I wish I could tell u more, I am just too new to the med myself and the fact we all will respond differently...
