I have no problems with the 's' sound. I usually screw up on sentences that have alliteration or any repeatable stuff in the sentence. The word "sentences" has two "en" letters and that kinda screws me up.

We just noticed an extra flap of skin attached to his tongue. It looks like a tiny mini tongue. When you look into his throat you do not see it. When he coughs it comes up and forward. It curls just like his tongue. It is attached to the base of his tongue in the back of his throat/mouth. My girlfriend says her son has low muscle tone due to some rare disorder.

Hi there. Numbness or tingling in the tongue also known as paresthesia, occur most commonly due to damage to the nervous system. Damage to the lingual nerve supplying the tongue as a complication of dental procedures like wisdom tooth extraction, implants or root canal procedures. Other conditions could be stroke. Sometimes these can involve the lips or jaw. Calcium and vitamin B complex deficiency needs to be addressed. Consult an oral surgeon for assessment of possibilities. Hope this helps.

I've had this for at least several months. I have excellent dental hygiene (cleanings biannually, use mouthwash twice daily, tongue scraper, electric toothbrush, etc).

A few days ago I noticed the tip of my tongue was twitching, almost in a pulsating like manner. My first concern was ALS as my biological father died of the disease, but given I am only 30 and Bulbar ALS is in and of itself rare I'm kind of skeptical about that. I'm not having problems swallowing or talking and my tongue isn't "scalloped" or showing signs of atrophy.
