throwing up hairballs

Here is an update on my cat. You won't believe what I saw the other day. I saw a lot of hair inside the tube as I was cleaning the area. The hair is located right outside the stomach and it covers a good part of the tube. When I feed him with the syringe, the hair gets pushed back into the stomach and can't get out any other way because it goes back out through the tube. I'm thinking it's getting out through the tube because it is the first opening before the colon?

s kid (adult kid). My point I am getting to is that I took him to the vet bc he was throwing up a bit and had diareeah and it was messy on his butt. They cleaned him up and gave me some kayopectate stuff (spelling?) and another med. They ran some tests (like lukemia and stuff) and he was fine. She said he seems to be healthy otherwise besides the stomach thing. They gave me some science diet to give him for a few days in hopes it helped (wet food).

He usually gets rid of hairballs but not always. Could he be sick or just having a harder time getting rid of hairballs.

Well, I am sure this question has been asked and answered and debated for years now, but what are the best things to do for hairballs? It seems like at any given moment of the day, one of my cats (I have 6 of them) is barfing up a hairball! I seem to go through gallons of spray cleaner! I have tried the usual remedies. Hairball control dry food, the gel in the tubes, hairball control treats, etc. Nothing seems to help! It's really scary to watch them struggle to get it up!

This has been going on for a long time. Every time I've taken her to the vet I've mentioned it. There's a million reasons why she could be throwing up, I'm told. She could just have a nervous stomach, eating too fast, isn't tolerating food well or it could be a medical reason. They ran all kinds of expensive tests on her before doing her surgery a couple of months ago and everything came back fine, including diabetes, kidneys looked fine, etc.

My cat occasionally would eat too much or not chew her food well enough and then she would throw up. Just occasionally though. But recently she started (she's done it twice now) throwing up and throwing up and throwing up. I mean it'll be food at first and then after a while it's just liquid. I switched her food to a Purina One Sensitive Systems and she stopped doing it and hadn't thrown up at all since...until the other night.

A depilatory? I hadn't thought of that one! Is that something that would be in a groomer's arsenal of bottles and such on a shelf in their establishment -- able to be mixed up with a bottle of shampoo, then used by mistake? Our vet said the hair shafts are just detached from their bodies at the root (and, with three-inch long hair, what we've got are huge mats of clumping hair that have to be pulled out).

He adjusted well to the environment and seems to be happy. The only issue is that he is throwing up a big hairball about once every week that comes out with pretty much the whole last meal he had. He is just a short haired cat and he is being brushed regularly and doesn't even shed that much hair at all. his diet consists of dry premium food in the morning and some nights, and about every second night he'll get a piece of chicken neck, cooked kangaroo mince or tuna.

She has been having troubles with sensitive tummy all her life so after trial and error I finally switched her to Natural Balance LID Grain Free Salmon (She would not eat the Pea and Duck). The problem is, now she is vomiting up food with hairballs in it. I have tried giving her hairball medication, brushing her, bathing her. I noticed she is shedding a lot and now she is itching so much that she is starting to have sores.

I have never heard of a vet who recommends to wait in a situation like this one! Not only has he vomited but he does not want to eat and he is lethargic= not good. It could be a stomach virus. One of my cats is very sensitive to those. Or it could have been hairballs? But when it's hairballs, cats generally want to eat right after vomiting. Until you go see the vet, try to keep your cat hydrated, that's the most important thing.

has anyone started throwing up again at 30 weeks. i was really sick the first 5 months and then it stopped. now its back. is that normal? ?

So I had a red icee about 20 mind ago I woke up and threw up. I can't tell if it was blood or the icee?I'm.

Im 26weeks and constantly throwing up or feel sick to my stomach.

So I was really nauseas from week 4-10 now from week 11-12 I've only just started throwing up. It's comes really suddenly and i'm worried I won't make it to toilets when at work. Has anyone else started vomiting this far along?

Okay I'm 31wks and I'm throwing up like crazy i cant keep any food down or fluids but i don't have diarrhea but i am getting strong stomach pains... should i be worried or just rest n let it pass?

83 year old woman is throwing up 3 three hours now, water/bile but has not been drinking in the last 3 hours...

My dr gave me some medicine when I was in my first trimester for throwing up issues. So I have to take that now. Just try and not eat until you get full. Stop eating a tad bit before you hit the full point. It might help.

I ate dinner at 8 tacos but only ate one...I went to bed around 9 and woke up at 5 throwing up like crazy...and it's the food I ate but I'm still throwing up water juice and whatever I eat.

So trying to figure out if I just ate something bad, or is this the start....Went out to dinner tonight early with my uncle and had ravioli. Had gas most of the night, but had some bread to help absorb the sauce that was causing some heartburn (along with a Zantac...my best friend). That dinner was like at 5 PM. It's 2 AM and I woke up throwing up. I have had 2 or 3 bowel movements over the course of the day which is why I am not sure if this is the ramp up, or not. Opinions???
