Common Questions and Answers about Terbinafine vs butenafine

lamisil

Avatar m tn And at one time I had to pee all the time but it stopped about 2 and a half weeks ago. So I tried lotirmin ultra with 1% butenafine hydrochloride for a week and a half but I didn't notice any change. So now I have limasil with 1% Terbinafine. My questions are is this the right cream for treating a penis ringworm and how long will it take until the ringworm is completely gone? Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn Hi, Ringworm, an infection of the outer layer of the scalp and in the hair. It usually causes a rash made up of circular patches with raised, red edges that resemble worms. The rash spreads from these edges, often leaving the center clear, giving it a ring shape.
Avatar m tn i've had an itchy groin and butt for about 8 months. no rash, very little redness if any, no skin breaks, nothing. just itchy. it doesn't itch all the time, just a few times a day and it usually wakes me up at night which is very annoying. i've consulted my doctor several times on this and he has tried several prescriptions: lamisil, flucanozole (i believe) and now vytone (iodoquinol/hydrocortizone). i've also tried lotrimin ultra which is butenafine.

Avatar n tn The main findings were that for reduced fungus, terbinafine was found to be significantly better than itraconazole and griseofulvin, and terbinafine was better tolerated than itraconazole. ref:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onychomycosis What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.

Avatar m tn Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?
