Lamisil has the ingredient Terbinafine hydrochloride which I thought I needed for a condition I have but before I read the warning I used it. It states not to use on or near the mouth. After use I saw my lips get very white and after a couple of days it seemed like the top thin layer of skin came off: painless. I know its my fault for not reading the box but now my lips get very dry. They turn to an off-white color. I am constantly licking my lips and using chapstick.

What you have read is correct. You could discuss this finding with your doctor and get him to prescribe it for you. Since the treatment is long-term it is better to go with onr which is tolerated better by the body.

My scrotum has been very itchy the pass couple of months. It generally itches after i touch it and also I've noticed if I've sweated (say after sport). I dont know if its related but after sports i tend to itch in the scrotum area and spread to other areas of the body mainly legs, back, thighs and buttocks. I never itch in the chest area.
When i scratch the related areas the skin has alot of enraised bumps that go away after a while. The scrotum has this issue too.
The terbinafine worked better than flucka, my groin infection stopped spreading and the skin started to feel normal again.Penis and scrotum got better too.I was also using a clotrimazole,neomycin,clobetasol combo topical cream.
But,whenever my groin becomes even mildly sweaty,I get a flaring infection the next morning, despite 3.5 weeks of terbinafine.
Then I went for a check up and the doctor prescribed me itraconazole 100 mg and terbinafine 250 mg oral solution and Luliconazole cream. Infection was cured completely. But now again it has appeared on my body. Specifically on my neck. I am having the same oral solution and using Clotrimazole topical cream. But it's not effective like before. Instead of being cured it's spreading. I am also using ketoconazole soap for bathing.
Have you any thoughts on how long after stopping taking Terbinafine and you would expect the side effects would start to ease off?
The rash did go away for a little while but came back even before I had finished the full treatment of terbinafine (I did in fact go ahead and finish the full 10 days). I went back to the doctor for a follow up and she wanted to take a biopsy which may in fact leave a scar (which I really do not want). She also suggested that this may be a reaction from the use of the steroids. She gave me a metronidazole cream which is an antibiotic and Elidel which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.
I seem to have(had) the same thing you described. I am also a water person and noticed mine after diving. Dr. Bhupinder thought it sounded like tinea cruris(jock itch) or a fungal infection. He recommended an 'over-the-counter' that contained either miconazole,tolnaftate,terbinafine,ketaconazole or clotrimazole. My pharmicist recommended clotrimazole as the best of those five and it IS working. The red rash has faded to practically clear,no itching at all.
I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

No rashes, no pain, no rednes my scrotum looks normal, I went to several doc they prescribe antifungal like gentaline c cream, sonadem cream, muconazole cream and tab, terbinafine cream and tab. But problem comeback after 2 or 3 weeks of treatment.
At first it was only a slight itch. My girlfriend and I have been together for two years and this never happened before. So I just thought allergy or something used some creme, got better. Well we have sex one day ok well on a regular basis and after several times it returns again so we both go to the doc and are checked out nothing was found. But my little problem is still here.
As my rash improve a lot with itraconazole and fluconazole but not with terbinafine and griseofulvin, could we determinate what mycosis it is ?

He referred to a Dermatologist. Administred Terbinafine-500mg (10days) and Fexofenadine-120mg (7 days) continued applying Miconazole but had no relief. She further advised me to take Levofloaxacin 750mg for 5 days together with appky Terbinafine Cream. But still no relief. Infection resurface with spreading to more areas.
Please Help me.
i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.
