As GS-7340 is more efficacious than tenofovir do you think that by its approval(hope soon as studies are underway in Hiv patients) will lead to the approval of this drug for Hepatitis B and are we expecting more hbv seroconversions(used in combo or mono)?

ContraVir reports data shows CMX157 more potent against HBV than Gilead Viread
ContraVir Pharmaceuticals (CTRV) announced preliminary data dramatizing the unique properties of CMX157, the company's highly potent lipid prodrug of the successful antiviral drug tenofovir, or TFV. CMX157 was shown to be 60-fold more active than tenofovir against the hepatitis B virus, or HBV, based on in vitro studies.

hiv use of tenofovir is not to be considered because hiv damages kidneys too, on hbv trials kidney toxicity is no issue since only 1% developped toxicity and lowering tenofovir dose resolve this and tenofovir is still very active on hbv.unfortunately there is no research on optimal dose of tenofovir on hbv without sides (tenofovir is produced by gilead and they wanted to push use of hespera and probably hiden tenofovir from 2001...

It has a high rate of drug resistance and toxicity than todays first line drugs entecavir and tenofovir. It can never Cure hbv except rarely where individuals are naturally proned to clear the infections.
Honestly there is no certain cure for hbv today and atleast will not be till next 2-3 years for sure.
it is a failed hiv drug, this is the clear strategy drug makers had at 2000, use of failed hiv drug on hbv to make mutants (instead using tenofovir which makes no mutants) and then find always new drugs with patent and high price for the mutants......

I initially started my therapy with Tenofovir and for the past 4 years, I have been on Tenofovir Alafenamide. Recently, my doctor raised concerns regarding my cholesterol levels, which could potentially put me at risk of heart disease and fatty liver in the future. My LDL cholesterol has been hovering around 240 mg/dL over the past 4 years, considerably above the normal upper limit of 130.

If I have a choice to take one of these drugs, which one is better for Genotype B? Tenofovir or Entecavir? How many mg should I take? I'm 55 asian male, my HBV DNA has been around 1000 to 2000 iu/ml since my doc started tracking it in 2006 (infected probably at least 25 years ago) Are these drugs really bad for the kidney? What kinds of side effect I'm going to encounter? Thank you for any info. that you guys could share with me. Really appreciated.
