I have been on Tenofovir for 2 1/2 years starting 4/1/2018. My last fibroscan was 4.4 kpa back in 2017 and I plan to do another fibroscan this month. Platelet level has been trending down for a while since starting Tenefovir but doctor doesn't appear concerned. CT back in 2019 was also normal.

ve had lower level ALT/AST for several years and have been on Tenofovir for 2 1/2 year. HBSag down to 2110 from 3000. Last AFP 7.1 slightly higher . DCP and AFL3% negative.
Please help make sense out of this.
Thorax: Visualized thorax clear of significant pathology.
Liver: 8 mm T2 hyperintense, T1 hypointense, nonenhancing cyst and segment 7. No
enhancing mass. No biliary dilation..
Gallbladder: No stones or inflammation. Nondistended.
That is actually not much better than tenofovir vs tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, the actual substance in Viread. It is 50 times more potent than tenofovir.
It is all this improper simplification of callling viread tenofovir.
Tenovovir, if it would be given orally, would have no effect on HBV.
TEnofovir if given intravenously or sc would still have almost no effect on HBV in the liver. the substance has a high negative charge and cannot easlily penetrate cell membranes.

The following is a paper from doctors in Francel. It said you can breastfeed whilst your are on Tenofovir because "Tenofovir is not absorbed in the breast milk". However, I have googled and cannot find any reference to this claim. All the best to you and your baby.

Hi, I had a mammogram Aug 27th which that the small node I have had for years has grown. Two days later I had an ultrasound that shows a hypoechoic structure deep within the chest wall and has a hyperechoic notch to it with an appeappearance of a benign lymph node but does not correlate with the position of the mammogram. Given the findings of this ultrasound and enlargemnt of the density on the mammogram biopsy is recommended. My question is would you take it out completely?

tenofovir is the oldest drug among hbv drug since we share the same drugs as hiv, it is the most potent and generics are on the market.
HBVDNA is not detectable, Fiboscan is normal. initially i went through PegIntreforen+ Tenofovir for 40 weeks in 2012 then i switch to only Tenofovir. Now it 3 yrs and 4 month on Tenofovir.
Last week my doctor told that you HbeAg should be non reactive after 2 yrs of Tenofovir but since it over 3 years so might be Tenofovir resistance So you need to change my medicine.
Please suggest me what i do.
tenofovir was recently approved for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in Europe.
Given you are resistant to LAM, staying on Truvada is obviously better. But going mono on Tenofovir should be ok given you current UND. Tenofovir has a excellent resistance profile especially in UND situations. Even if you are resistance to LAM, can you access Entecavir as a possible combo with Tenofovir?
