I used to purchase Peginterferon 180mcg of Roche company which MRP is INR 16533 at price INR 13800. And also company giving me buy one get one free offer so price comes for 1 injection is INR 6900.
Also for tenofovir tab 300mg I am taking TenoHep brand which MRP for 10 Tab is INR 623, and company gives me offer of by two get one free. so ultimately price comes for 10 tab is INR 415.
Do you kw another better brands for both medicine with have less price in india( Delhi/NCR)?
I'm just curious to know if this is something that is possible or if taking Tenofovir will build you a resistance to Entecavir?

Is there a way I can have a prescription from a doctor when buying tenofovir online? Here in the Philippines, the drug is not yet available and the doctors are not prescribing it since it is not available. I'm planning to take tenofovir but having trouble in getting prescription, so i cannot order online.

There is always hope. HepB is an eminently treatable disease, except for the high cost of medications. So, i would demand government to subsidize treatment, failing that, I would buy generic drugs from India.
Hi just want to share my experience, i'm a reactive hepa b since 2011 and just last Sept 2014 my friend (doctor) told me to go for a check up and some blood test. Got my results last Sept 2014 and sad to say I have a million of virus inside my body, my DNA Viral load is more than 110,000,000IU/ml and my hbsag quantification was 210,000, hbsag and hbeag were both reactive. My doctor told me to take VIREAD (its a antiretroviral tenofovir) and need to have follow up check up after 3 months.

I live in the US. If you are looking for Tenofovir, I'd suggest checking out a doctor at the HepB.org site and talking to them about a clinical trial (whether it's for Viread or another Hep B clinical trial). Some may offer right off the bat. I'm unsure about the price without insurance. I suspect, without insurance, $80 a pill?
check how to get hbsag quant by shipping blood samples to india and then check if tenofovir and peginterferon are available in ur country, i know from other members both are available while fibroscan and hbsag quant are not
Can also take blood tonic eg astemin?
It depends on the healthcare for each country, in Poland for example entencavir is given first and tenofovir only if there is etv resistant mutation. I'm not sure if decision is made because there is more kidney toxicity when using tdf than etv or because of the price. I guess when TAF will be available it's better than etv for kidneys too ? So only price will matter.
