i wouldn t worry about that but just concentrate on combos of everything working on hbsag and take it down especially when not too high
i would be wonderful to get data from india and china hospitals making the combos like reported from india, i am sure most get hbsag decrease on interferon+alinia+tenofovir continuous therapy
Every drug has side effects, even tenofovir has more side effects than entacavir, but tenofovir has greater chance of clearing the virus. If there is a chance to clear it then one should go for it rather then wait for virus to mutate and become drug resistance. You need to monitor your kidney functions in the initial stage of taking tenofovir. You should also get a fibroscan done to access the damage of the liver. Anything greater than 7 Kpa is a concern.
India has several well known companies that manufacture the generic version of Tenofovir and Entecavir, and sell them at a very reasonable price. Wish I have more details.

I would like to know whether if there is a real good treatment in India for hepatitis B, my dad was detected with it 5-6 yrs back since then he has been trying with the help of a doctor to keep it stable.

Hi all, i am 24 yrs year old from india got diagnosed with chronic hep b 2 months ago in jan my hbv dna quantitative was 170000000 millions and was hbeag positive and alt was 65 ,other things in lft were normal my doctor has puttd me on tenofovir 300 mg and after 2 months only hbv dna came to 200000 my doc is happy with my result and i know in coming time ill eradicate this guys dont shatter urself and ur dreams these are challenges in life believe in god i know ill clear this stay positive guys

Be sure your hbvdna is less than 20iu/ml
if you want to lower hbsag and clear hbeag you need to add peginterferon to tenofovir, wait until you are 3 years on tenofovir and then add on peg, if hbsag declines by 24weeks of add on the therapy is working and you may clear hbv definitively
You can get generic viread (tenofovir) from a company in India called Cipla. It costs $30 US, though if you go through an intermediary site like pharmacychecker.com, those companies will charge you about $60 US for a 30 day supply. Still an excellent deal compared to what Viread costs here in the states.
they are jsut trying to get tenofovir there under a new name just to keep the price high.
when i checked for DNA load on december-2013 it was 10360IU/ml. I am taking Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate tablets IP 300mg Daily one tab. After using this again i was checked on july-2014 in this DNA report it shows Target not detected.my quetion is can i clear it please help me. my age 29yrs can i marry with this condition please help me.
