Tenofovir hsv-2

Common Questions and Answers about Tenofovir hsv-2

truvada

Avatar m tn We found that a higher plasma tenofovir concentration was associated with higher vitamin D binding protein and lower free 1,25-OH(2)D, offering a possible mechanism to explain the higher parathyroid hormone and higher total 1,25-OH(2)D seen in participants taking TDF (Fig. 3A).
Avatar f tn I took tenofovir from the 3rd trimester and my baby is fine till now but i stopped using it when she 2 months and start again 2 days ago since.
Avatar f tn That is actually not much better than tenofovir vs tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, the actual substance in Viread. It is 50 times more potent than tenofovir. It is all this improper simplification of callling viread tenofovir. Tenovovir, if it would be given orally, would have no effect on HBV. TEnofovir if given intravenously or sc would still have almost no effect on HBV in the liver. the substance has a high negative charge and cannot easlily penetrate cell membranes.
Avatar m tn Hbsag+ for eight months, I started taking tenofovir / emcitritabin today but I have nail fungal infection. I want to take fulcin tab for the nail infection . Hope it work? Can tenofovir / emcitritabin ever clear hbsag?
4552918 tn?1356986879 hbvdna is useless to define hbv infection status, you need fibroscan first of all and hbsag quantity, hbeag, ast/alt hbvdna is complementary and only usefull during therapy tenofovir doesn t cure hbv like all antivirals, they only stop liver damage so they are manily indicated on those with liver damage and not all with hbv infection interferon is the only one to cure hbv but response is 7-10% during therapy and increases to 30% after therapy is stopped.
948882 tn?1270553807 tenofovir alone cant clear hbv, only 16% of hbeag positive clear hbv on tdf monotherapy, you must add interferon to tenofovir and possibly alinia off label too and follow how hbsag goes down, 40% cleared in 48 weeks on this combo diabetes is not cronic, there are possibilities to reverse diabetes when early especially diabetes 2, steam cell will be the answer in the other cases in the near future or maybe even today
Avatar m tn Patients were treated with NAs therapy (lamivudine, adefovir, telbivudine, entecavir and tenofovir) for at least 2 years. qHBsAg was performed every 6 months. Results Our results showed a significantly greater qHBsAg decline after 2 years in patients treated with tenofovir (0.45 logIU/ml) than in patients treated with telbivudine (0.12 logIU/ml; P < 0.001).
Avatar m tn Given you are resistant to LAM, staying on Truvada is obviously better. But going mono on Tenofovir should be ok given you current UND. Tenofovir has a excellent resistance profile especially in UND situations. Even if you are resistance to LAM, can you access Entecavir as a possible combo with Tenofovir?
Avatar f tn the liver repairs itself, hbv makes no damage on most and about 10-20% can get cirrhosis after a life time you need to check fibroscan, hbsag quantity in iu/ml, hbeag, ast/alt, hbvdna and then consider if sequential treatment of tenofovir and peginterferon add on might work in your case, this treatmnet takes 3-5years of tenofovir and then another 2 years tenofovir+peginterferon, 50% clear first year and 90% lower hbsag by first year.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I went to see my Dr today and he recommanded to change my medicine to Viread (I am on Epivir more than 2 years). I am wondering if it's necessary to change it now since Epivir works well with me (my DNA is 200 copies). But he was worried about resistance and mutation. Do I have to listen to him? I got Viread today but I am not sure I would start taking it from today. -Natalie p.s.: Do you guys drink coffee? I started drinking coffee about 4 months ago...
Avatar m tn Hopefully we can find doctors here that is mature enough in this situation. Entecavir (30 tablets) is equivalent of 2 months of generic tenofovir. And from studies, tenofovir is most potent drug for hbv. I have an upcoming appointment with a new doctor, she's a hepatologist, i'll ask her about this. I hope she knows about tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. I'll let you know what will happen.
Avatar m tn Personally, I would start treatment and Tenofovir is an excellent choice. The reasons being you already have stage 2 fibrosis and your viral load is high. I am still puzzled by your fairly normal ALT, but that should not stop you from getting treatment.
1943669 tn?1324041785 95 reactive HBV DNA 17,104,482 iu/ml..is this hbv dna result ws 2 high? i drink revovir nw..i need some suggestion for a new medicene which is afordable and effective..
Avatar m tn My question are 1) what is the efficacy and safety of tenofovir for says 10years or 15 years or 20years ? 2) what is the longest years of taking tenofovir that we have on record now?
Avatar m tn Last week my doctor told that you HbeAg should be non reactive after 2 yrs of Tenofovir but since it over 3 years so might be Tenofovir resistance So you need to change my medicine. Please suggest me what i do.
9674600 tn?1405211066 now asap start Peginterferon + tenofovir. last month i changed Entecavir to Tenofovir. now i using for alone tenofovir. but china doctor said: if your ALT/AST high then dont start peginterferon + tenofovir. what should i do? i'm afraid for this result.
Avatar m tn I'm just curious to know if this is something that is possible or if taking Tenofovir will build you a resistance to Entecavir?
Avatar f tn you cant stop ntivirals because you can pass the virus to the baby even if vaccine is used, you just need to switch to tenofovir which is more potent and safer than entecavir you can do it all at once but must combo for about 2-3 months and then stop entecavir and continue only on tenofovir many memebers here had baboes this way and tenofovir is perfectly safe, it is also more potent than entecavir and cheaper since it has zero resistance so it is safer for you too to use int he future
Avatar m tn Guys in the community, Thanks in advance for helping. I am asking for my wife, we're in Hong Kong. We know for long that she's a HBV carrier. After she delivered a baby at 2013 year end we went for a check, and realized it has turned active (ALT >100). Below is her result. I have consolidated multiple tests taken within 5 days to reveal a quick overview (please see below). We have seen 2 doctors at 2 different hospitals.
