Hi everyone. I started a pep (tenofovir, lamividune, dolutegravir) 14 days ago, following an unprotected vagina ontercourse of 1 or 2 minutes.I put my drugs in the car when I go to work. Yesterday I red in tje drug bottle that it was forbidden to keep the drug in the temperature over 30°. My concern is as I libe in an african country, it's hot. I have heard of the gel Fentanyl Patches leaking. It can be a life threatening event. Actually I had hoped they were going to discontinued the gel patches.
Fentanyl "Patch" comes in two types of delivery systems, gel or matrix. It depends on the manufacture as to what system they use.
The matrix is deemed safer as it does not leak - or "burst." If it were me and my insurance would allow I'd switch to the matrix deliver system.

An extremely useful and clear research presentation that should clarify for many what to expect in terms of long term treatment in regard to surface antigen levels and amount of infected cells in the liver.
It also shows again the slight but noticeable advantage of starting treatment with a combo, that can later be followed by mono therapy.
Unfortunately the overall picture is not very encouraging in terms of loosing the infection.
You might ask your doctor about Tirosint. It's the newest levothyroxine on the market. It's a gel cap, that contains only water, glycerin and the levo; therefore, it's hypoallergenic and is usually absorbed better than pill forms.
Itching, burning hands could have other causes, as well.

Wondering if anyone has talked to the manufacturer of tirosint about the awful side effects it causes? And I'm not talking about the hyper symptoms from a dose that's too high. Imfeel as if I have a horrible allergic reaction to it, yet it's supposed to be hypoallergenic. I assume it's the gel cap and am hoping tirosintSOL will solve that problem. When I take tirosint gelcaps, I suffer from horrible neuroinflammation. I feel as if my brain is going to explode.

That is actually not much better than tenofovir vs tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, the actual substance in Viread. It is 50 times more potent than tenofovir.
It is all this improper simplification of callling viread tenofovir.
Tenovovir, if it would be given orally, would have no effect on HBV.
TEnofovir if given intravenously or sc would still have almost no effect on HBV in the liver. the substance has a high negative charge and cannot easlily penetrate cell membranes.
