tenofovir is the oldest drug among hbv drug since we share the same drugs as hiv, it is the most potent and generics are on the market.

when i checked for DNA load on december-2013 it was 10360IU/ml. I am taking Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate tablets IP 300mg Daily one tab. After using this again i was checked on july-2014 in this DNA report it shows Target not detected.my quetion is can i clear it please help me. my age 29yrs can i marry with this condition please help me.
as a antiviral, tenofovir is best choice agree. but before starting tenofovir you can try daily 10000(ten thousand) iu dose of vit d and check its value bi-weekly, and check your other parameters dna and hbsag monthly. you can do this for 2-3 month and check the progress , you may get good results with vit d only and in future dont need to start tenofovir.
antivirals have almost no effecton antigens so the fact hbeag is positive maybe a good sign of reduced mutants population of precore/bcp
Be sure your hbvdna is less than 20iu/ml
if you want to lower hbsag and clear hbeag you need to add peginterferon to tenofovir, wait until you are 3 years on tenofovir and then add on peg, if hbsag declines by 24weeks of add on the therapy is working and you may clear hbv definitively
are these drugs antiviral? how long am i going to be on them? i did liver scan recently where a gel was poured on my right side very close to the ribs and a piece of equipment is rolled over it though the report is not out yet. Is this same thing as fibroscan? pls how safe is my wife and children?
That is actually not much better than tenofovir vs tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, the actual substance in Viread. It is 50 times more potent than tenofovir.
It is all this improper simplification of callling viread tenofovir.
Tenovovir, if it would be given orally, would have no effect on HBV.
TEnofovir if given intravenously or sc would still have almost no effect on HBV in the liver. the substance has a high negative charge and cannot easlily penetrate cell membranes.

The following is a paper from doctors in Francel. It said you can breastfeed whilst your are on Tenofovir because "Tenofovir is not absorbed in the breast milk". However, I have googled and cannot find any reference to this claim. All the best to you and your baby.

I am on tenofovir from March 2012 when i am pregnant at week 32. At that time i had hbs and hbe both positive.
s had Hep B since her younger days, and her children also seem to be carriers (vertical transmission). Once started, is it nearly impossible to be off the drug? I'm more worried about her liver and possible complications down the road (HCC and cirrhosis). But I want to know what the options are at this stage before things get worse. Thanks for reading.

Here in the Philippines, the drug is not yet available and the doctors are not prescribing it since it is not available. hbv has no symptoms, you may even be dying and feel nothing
tenofovir improves kideys function especially tenofovir+telbivudine in those with kidneys function.
