Hi all in India, Please provide pointers of any direct manufacturers of tenofovir 300 mg in India. I trust TENOF from hetero is manufactured in India but unavailable to get it at low costs.

hi, anyone has switched between the above two brands for Hep B treatment? any implication if switch from e.g. Viread to Tenvir during the course of Hep B treatment (former USA vs latter India).

The Tenofovir I got in India was about $32 US. Brand Tenvir by Cipla. You can find the same on pharmacychecker.com. They charge about $60-100 US per 30 pills and they take about a month to get to the US.

if you can get it in india some roches relabled brands are 100usd per shot only hbsag quantity in iu/ml plus genotype can tell us if pegintf will clear hbv or will be useless

the generic in india is absolutely the same as brands, it is just cheap and easy chemicals.....so easy to do.

beside lower the hbvdna in my blood, does it also lower the hbvdna in my liver as well? If tenofovir only lower the hbvdna in my blood, how could my alt, ast get improvement. I think that alt and ast are my liver functions, right? My another understanding is as following: only immune response to hbvdna inside liver does damage to the liver. hbvdna inside liver is direct related with the hbvdna in the blood.

there is a generic made in india, search in the community for the name another option is to use tenofovir which is more potent than etv but cheaper, there is also a generic version called tenvir by cipla which is even cheaper

Hi raj my doctor is one of the best doctors in india he is in top 10 he asked me to get all these tests done my age is just 24....my gi endoscopy was fine lft was fine just sgpt was 62 ....hbv dna was 170000000 ui ml and hbsag was 1900 but in 50 2 months hbv dna came to 200000 only using tenofovir and doctor was also happy he gives me multivitamins every alternate months too.... my fibroscan was 7.7 so he asked me to stop outside food n less fat diet ...

India has several well known companies that manufacture the generic version of Tenofovir and Entecavir, and sell them at a very reasonable price. Wish I have more details.
