I am a 25 year old female. I was diagnosed with a primary brain tumor in June 2008 and underwent surgery to remove it. It was the size of an apple and diagnosed a grade 2 tumor. It grew back in September 2008 and that's when i began rigorous radiation and oral chemotherapy (Temozolomide). My recent MRI has showed the regrowth of the tumor to be "gone." The plan is to take the Temozolomide for 2 years along with Accutane (which helps the oral chemotherapy work better).

If you were my patient, I would advise you that your age alone protects you from pregnancy. That combined with the tubal ligation should approach 99.9% effectiveness. I wouldn't ever give 100%. If you are that concerned you could use condoms as well, but really don't need to .

There are a lot of differing ideas on the effectiveness of condoms to prevent HIV. I have seen numbers ranging from 65% to 100% and some crazy ideas such as, "condoms have holes."
I have signed up for an HIV test on Tuesday after learning that a one-time sexual partner of mine is in fact HIV+. At the time, I asked the guy if he was "Drug and Disease free" and he replied, "Yes.
Your belief may be that condom effectiveness is better than 80% but that doesnt mean your belief is correct. More like burring your head in the sand. If you have nothing to back up your comment then it is not really very meaningful.
