I am a 25 year old female. I was diagnosed with a primary brain tumor in June 2008 and underwent surgery to remove it. It was the size of an apple and diagnosed a grade 2 tumor. It grew back in September 2008 and that's when i began rigorous radiation and oral chemotherapy (Temozolomide). My recent MRI has showed the regrowth of the tumor to be "gone." The plan is to take the Temozolomide for 2 years along with Accutane (which helps the oral chemotherapy work better).

Just thought I'd let everyone know -- I picked up my refill for Tirosint this morning and the price has doubled, from what I've been paying. I've been paying $85.44 for 3 months; that jumped to $170.88 for 3 months. My insurance doesn't cover it, though it does save me a few bucks ($55 on this refill). I've contacted Akrimax, but don't know if they will respond or not.

I could justify the $89, but in Sept of last year the price doubled and the same 84 capsules cost $169; then in Dec the price increased again and in April, once again. The original $89 price tag is now about $325. My insurance has never covered it and now that I'm on Medicare, my supplement doesn't cover it, either. I've contacted the company and from what they tell me, the cost will continue to rise.

my son was taking godex capsules 4 2caps 2xaday which is supposed to be for 2mos. to take but for financial problem my son did not continue his medication. and i would like to ask if he can continue his medicine continously any time? thank u and god bless !

that is completely normal you are leaking out the waxy coat on the outside of them. once you hit 13 weeks of your pregnancy, your doctor will let you stop taking them. make sure you are lying down flat for 20 minutes after you use them, that helps make sure you get the progesterone in.

You want to make sure at your pharmacy that you are still getting extended release capsules but i doubt they would give you non-extended release capsules without telling you or without being told so with your doctor and your doctor would probably have let you know.

Does anyone know if it is ok to release the medicine out of capsules and mix the medicine up in juice? I have a problem swallowing pills and was not sure if this was an option????

I do not want to take a bp med, i read that potassium bicarbonat, and bananas, are just as beneifical as taking Losartan ,I know it sounds silly, but I just do not want to take any more meds. I have been doing fine for 5 years after stents, take fish oil capsules, magnesium and vitamin d, recently started 5 htp, don't all these help to keep my arteries from blocking anymore?also take other supplements like co-q 10, b complex.

s okay though, I can get prescription vitamin d which is then even covered by my health insurance, and also can order reasonably priced 5000 IU capsules from The Netherlands.
