Common Questions and Answers about Tekturna ongoing clinical trials

Avatar f tn As far as I know, the phase III clinical trials of E75 vaccine are still ongoing (the trial that will ultimately lead to FDA approval, if proven effective). The previous studies and phase I to phase II trials for his vaccine have shown promising results. For now, targeting the Her2Neu expression will still involve drugs like Herceptin (trastuzumab) or Tykerb (lapatinib).
Avatar m tn The clinical trials that they were running, and were prematurely stopped because they were very unlikely to reach their endpoints, sound strangely designed from the start. From memory they specifically selected people who had previously taken antivirals previously, and whose antivirals had failed them. They never tested them on regular HBV patients. Seeing the results of this now that it's on the market will be very interesting. I hope that there is some information posted in this forum.
Avatar f tn hi -- a few weeks ago there was a guy who posted here looking for user-friendly clinical trials sites. He was getting medical help outside of the U.S. I can't find his post....so thought I'd write a new one hoping he'll find this. I found this site today and thought of him. http://www.centerwatch.com/patient/pns/patemail.

329994 tn?1301663248 t know if I can post this or not, so will not post the actual information yet, but I received a magazine from a very good hospital in my area and in it was information about the ovarian cancer clinical trials that they are doing and a number to call if someone is interested. I live in Central Florida. So, if it is ok to post that info, or if there is anyone on here that would like that info, you can always send me a message.

1853014 tn?1340038575 So because of this I have called Duke University to see about getting in their clinical trials which I could start right away. I enjoy and respect all of you.
559187 tn?1330782856 I have been involved in (runnung at a clinical level) numerous research trials over the last 10+ years. The extensive consent form should be very specific to what the liability the facility will hold in case of complications. If you have questions there should b a specific # to contact near the back (an independant institution called a review board). If you are uncomfortable asking your MD these questions, direct these questions to the review board.

789911 tn?1368636783 21 with the drug r05024048.I did do alot of research on clinical trials before I agreed to be in a trial. The care you get in a clinical trial is far better than what you would get outside of one.I do not agree with people who say if your biopsy isn`t bad then you should wait.It is a proven fact that the worse the virus gets the less chance of a svr.If you treat when the virus isn`t strong the better your chance of getting a cure.

Avatar m tn I just completed tx through a clinical trial at Duke. I know that's quite a drive for you, but I'll tell you my care at the Hepatology Clinic there has been awesome! I don't know if any other NC hospitals, besides Duke and Chapel Hill, are involved in trials. Do look up the clinicaltrials.gov site and I think you can narrow it down to your state. You can also go to Duke's website and they list ongoing current clinical trials by the disease.
Avatar n tn There are literally hundreds of different clinical trials for HCV right now… you’ll need to be more specific regarding the trial drug. Go back to whoever referred you to it, and ask them the name, or better yet, the NCT number and someone in here might be able to help. You can search the clinical trial database by going to: http://clinicaltrials.
Avatar m tn The vaccine is not registered yet for general use. Clinical trials are ongoing in Cuba and Bangladesh and new trials should start in Brazil and Europe next year. Avatar f tn Nor is it clear that they will have a similar business plan of publicly posting ongoing trials. I have only heard that there is a plan to move ahead with recruitment of the BMS/PSI EXTENSION that has been in progress for some months. I believe this is already listed under the ongoing trial. I was under the impression, and I would have to check some of the old links from my Medhelp journal, that most studies like Neutrino were awaiting outcomes of Quantum and other trials.
