I had a ureteral stricture (left side at approximately L3-L4) that was causing kidney-stones to get hung up. My urologist at the time did the old balloon procedure thingy, and I've been aces ever since (and that was about 15 years ago).

History- Irritable bowel syndrome, (past)stomach ulcers, smoker, and just diagnosed with Fibrous Dysplasia (still finding out more information and getting more testing, health problems with this also started in Feb.
Other possibilities are irritable bowel syndrome, hepatitis(inflammation of the liver), kidney stones, pneumonia, musculoskeletal pain, lower rib fracture and malignancy. It's been three weeks since my diagnosis of having multiple kidney stones on the right side. I had by this time started to get some discomfort in my right side and lower back. Since then, you can feel a swelling in that area on my side at the bottom of the rib and now the left side has started to hurt too. It also has some swelling there, but not as much as the right side.

So I don't know but on and off the pain comes in waves it's like I wanted to die from the pain well Ive called my doc 3 times and he said to change my diet...it's gettin to the point were i can't eat anything fyi I am on a diet where i only eat 100 grams of protien and i drink a gallon 1/2 of water a day...
