Avatar n tn My opth has diagnosed me with blepharitis, I use sterilid w/ compresses and take flaxseed oil, and I also use preservative free eyedrops for moisture. Avatar m tn Avoiding rosacea triggers, such as caffeine, spicy foods, and alcohol, also may help clear the skin. Also use of antibiotic creams, antihistaminics, sun screens and tacrolimus(available by prescription) helps but consultation of a dermatologist is required first. Also it is not permanent and will slowly go away with proper treatment and lifestyle changes. I sincerely hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar m tn (interestingly though, a few days before at the vet, the schirmer test was 12 in both eyes). Now 6 weeks later, the right eye has a 6 and the left eye still has 0. The specialist reviewed all of the options with us - cyclosporine, pilocarpine or tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said that very rarely has she seen any dog respond to cyclosporine after not responding to tacrolimus.

Avatar f tn wow :( I don't have insurance to run to the dermatologist and was hoping someone could tell me if it just looks like contact dermatitis. If anyone can help me I have two posts about it with pics. It's on my neck, it started as a few bumps almost in an oval type pattern as large as 50 cent piece. I thought it was maybe flea bites from my cat and had put rubbing alcohol on it.
