Avatar m tn t have to count calories you eliminate the foods that cause the weight gain, the spikes in insulin which causes the weight gain and amazingly you will lose weight.. you will have more energy and it will become easier to exercise and you gain that energy.. I'm down 60 lbs and am loving eating this way.. it has cured a bunch of health problems and it has helped a bunch of people(including my parents) get to where they want to be with their weight.
Avatar f tn I weighed 180 when I started, lost 8 lbs, and by the end of first trimester I was 172. My doctor is fine with it and my baby is healthy and SUPER active. I would say you're fine as Long as you feel comfortable with your weight gain. Now, I wasn't trying to lose weight, I had severe morning sickness (still do). But my baby was taking everything he needed and we are both still healthy, he more so than I.

Eating a proper diet of course can help strongly but it still can be a problem.

Avatar f tn but after 5 th month she started gaining weight and in her 9 th month she was 26 pounds more than her normal weight and we checked to your doctor about this weight gain, he told it is normal. Avatar f tn However, if you are asking about intentional weight loss then that is a very dangerous and risky idea. If you are overweight when becoming pregnant the best thing to do is get moderate excercise and eat healthy. An overweight woman is expected to gain a little less during pregnancy than a woman of average weight. Dieting and trying to lose weight during pregnancy can lead to complications and is not a good idea.

Avatar f tn Im 21 weeks pregnant and ive read that by this time im suppose to have gained atleast 10lbs. My last doctors appt was a weeks ago and i lost 13 lbs instead of gaining weight.
