It's not easy for me to eat a meal in the evening, its hard for me to digest so I've just been having my whey powder. I need to branch out with recipes that are healthy. Good luck with yours!!!!!
Tbd You might mill dry oats in your blender then make a smoothie. This method adds bulk to your smoothie drink and makes it thicker as well. If you choose to do this, start with 1/4 cup of dry whole oats. Good luck...

I have the smoothing recipe I've made since my kids were little but am branching out. Recipes? Thoughts? I'm going to try some new ones and I'll post them. Smoothies are a good way to get the 'good stuff' we need easily.

I have a book from Taste of home with HEALTHY smoothies and other beverages. Some I think might be a sweet treat for you pregger ones! Odwalla and Cliff Bars aren't the worst thing you can eat, they're much cleaner than most similar products, but overdoing it is questionable. Avatar f tn I've done it, but I found it wasn't something I could sustain for very long. There are tons of great smoothie recipes, and it's good for maybe one meal a day. I found that eating breakfast and lunch was best, then a smoothie for dinner.. make sure you add a good quality protein powder to it, to insure that you get adequate amounts of protein. I might add that I did not lose weight on that regimen, because the shakes/smoothies did not satisfy me.
Avatar f tn Well my advice is to substitute one meal usually a breakfast with a smoothie and then a big lunch followed by a small dinner cutting back at dinner is a good quality to get into. Eating a large lunch is satisfy also but you could flip flop breakfast or lunch. The smoothies that are called thickies are oatmeal and smoothies mixed together to keep us full. I know many people use thickies to avoid cooking or are too busy and want to do other things that eat heavy.

Avatar f tn s no point in trying. Ensure gets old after a while, so do some experimenting on your own with different smoothie recipes. They get old too, but any variety is better than none. Try different yogurts, fruit juices and fruits and see what you like. Make sure to take a multivitamin so you're sure not be missing out on any nutrients. Don't forget to try various broths like chicken, beef or even vegetable. I also suck on hard candies throughout the day just for extra calories.
Avatar n tn She is on a liquid diet. I started with Ensure but felt like it was inferior nutrition for long term. I make a smoothie with fresh juice from my juicer, almond milk or Silk milk as a base. I went to GNC and bought a product that has 900 calories and 50 grams of protein in a serving. I also bought some powdered vitamins to mix in it. I have several different recipes. She can still drink it but she stays nauseated all the time due to her stomach draining so slow.

Avatar f tn books which I stuck to rigorously for a week to kick start my palet, this got rid of all the sugar etc etc only for a week (they give a two week plan but screw that ha!) but afterwards I started making his recipes which are low bad fat, low calorie etc and taste epic! Honestly now I try and eat pizza etc and it just doesn't taste as good! I think they could help you because it focuses you to think about things differently and the food is amazing!
