When I get sick with a cold, or any virus that invades my body, my immune system attacks it and I get better. Because I have had HepC for so long, and my immune system has constantly been trying to battle it, doesn't that mean that it has not had the same strength to battle other illnesses at the same time? Hi. I have a friend who has a weakend immune system due to medications from a transplant. She is now worried she contracted an STD from her boyfriend who cheated on her. Has anyone tried a supplement designed to improve your immune system? I have read fasting for a period and cutting out meat and dairy will help. You can go back to eating the meat and dairy once the immune system is back in balance. Any ideas?

My husband went to the doctor just recently and he came back and said the doctor said that his immune system is depressed. I think it had something to do with the ulcerations on his tongue (which now I see several of you have had) but the doctor said "Oh, that's not good. Your immune system is depressed." Your son sounds like my two year old nephew. He has been sick A LOT. Could the bed have mites? Could he have reflux? Apparently a lot of kids have reflux these days. One would typically expect that to be worse at night and to affect breathing. A lot of children are said to be iron deficient too. That can cause problems with immunity and breathing. My recommendation would be to visit a doctor. I just had to check that you weren't my sister asking.

Hello, I have read vitamin D3 is essential for a responsive/healthy immune system. Would an antibody test at 90 days be affected by a low level of vitamin D3, meaning would this delay the production of antibodies.
