I would not take lamisil ever again. It is notoriously hard on your liver. Sporanox is really bad for the liver also.
These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil)
Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone.It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist.

I was wondering what would be the best fungal medication for him to take terbinafine or fluconazole I read on the internet that sporanox is not recommended. What do you think I should tell the doctor to prescribe for a two and a half year old that would be safe.

I was Rx Sporanox pending liver function test. AST was normal, but ALT was 52 in a lab norm range of 2 - 45.
I was told possibly elevated due to my 1600 - 2400 mg/dy of nsaids (Advil gel caps). ETOH consumption moderate.
If I cut the nsaids, how long should I expect to wait to retest for a drop of 7 points on that ALT score? Is 45 really the high end of norm?

I have been experiencing a red painless sore covered by white colored form on top of my penis for the last two weeks. I already consulted a dermatologist and have taken SPORANOX for first two days then have changed the medication to 'Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropoinate Cream', Tablets of 'Metronizazole 400mg 'and 'Ciprofloxacin 500'. Lab report also shows no symptom of Syphilis(VDRL is negative). I am really frustrated, any advice would be highly appreciated.
I have been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis on my face. I was asked to take sporanox capsules by the doc for a week and consult the doc soon after. The fungal infection subsided within that period but I did not consult the doc after that. The infection has returned once again . I would like to know if I should take the capsules once again for a week and then consult the doc or meet the doc before taking them.
I apparently am very susceptible to fungus as I developed another cough a few years later and it was also a fungus. Sporanox and coq10 eliminated the cough totally after YEARS of hell!
I observe that fungus related coughs go undiagnosed because typically many primary doctors do not even know how to test for it, and in the case of histoplasmosis it can take weeks for it to incubate in the cultures.

I am currently being treated by an infectious disease doctor, and he has me taking 100mg of Itraconazole per day. The name brand for Itraconazole is Sporanox. I still have this yeast infection! The medicine has not helped me yet. Why is this happening? I don't understand why merely taking an antibiotic for a sinus infection caused me to get a yeast infection that I just cannot get rid of? If there are other people that are in the same situation, please respond to my post.
Yes dogs are smart. My German Shepherd follows me everywhere now even to the bathroom. And when I come out he runs up to me to make sure im fine. He also lays his head on my belly to feel my son move :) 27 days left can't wait.

Hello. I have noticed that the two female dogs in my life. Ones mine ones my mother in laws have all of a sudden changed there behaviour around me. They sniff me all the time want want to sit on me or as close as possible. Im 35 weeks and am wondering maybe if they know something that I dont, seeing as this behaviour only started last week. We have two dogs. One of which we have had for about 8 or 9 months and the other i have had for 7 years. Far longer than i have had my husband and we have been best friends his whole life. Now i am 33 weeks pregnant and the dog i have had for 7 years suddenly has no interest in me. He is attached to my husband.. which has never been the case. And our newer puppy is attached to me. I mean constantly needs to be on my lap, sleeping as close as possible to me..

I have a pit!!! One of the best dogs we could ask for!! House trained, listens, couldn't be any better with my son!!! BUT.... Since we found out we are expecting all of his training has gone out the window!!! He doesn't listen, and he keeps peeing on EVERYTHING!!! He keeps peeing every time we bring in new things for the baby!!!!! What am I suppose to do???? It's so bad we are considering getting rid of him, and that's the last thing we want!!! :-( HELP!!!!
