Avatar f tn One of my problems is that my dr sees menopause as a pathology, a disease. Although I had always thought of menopause as just a "natural" phase of a female's life, this dr's attitude makes me feel that I am no longer a woman, just a walking pathology with nothing to look forward to but bodily and mental decay. She does not appear to listen when I tell her about any problems and tends to send me for intrusive tests.
Avatar f tn Pathology report shows infiltrating mammary carcinoma, no special type, low combined histologic grade, Low proliferative rate with apocrine cytology, measuring at least 6MM in greatest extent (best measrued on P63 IHC Slide) Calponin and P63 show absence of myoepithelial cells int he neoplastic tubules, consistent with an invasive interpretation. Immunohistochemical studies for estrogen receptor and progesteron receptor are negative. My questions: No special type? What does that mean?

Avatar f tn I agree with Sue Young, Debbie. I considered looking this up for you, as this information is randomly available on cancer websites, or if you google bc staging, and stuff like that. But I decided against doing this for you, because this needs to be explained to you by your doctor in person.

552389 tn?1280546208 C for a missed abortion on August 6. My doctor called to say that the pathology reports were normal and to see his partner in two weeks. When I went today, my HCG level is 158, and she said that it looked like we had a partial molar pregnancy. She initially said we could ttc again after one cycle, but after looking over the pathology report she said to wait at least two cycles. She also said that they would track my HCG levels back to zero.
Avatar n tn I had my regular mamogram a few weeks ago and after radiologist suggested u/s and then core biopsy. The pathology report came back as fibrocystic changes with adenosis but the radiologist felt the films were discordant with pathology and sent me to a breast surgeon. The surgeon declared that the lump in my breast was "worrisome" and scheduled me for surgical removal of entire lump with margins. I had surgery on Monday.

480331 tn?1310403529 Hello! I have an 18 1/2 mo old son. He does not say any words yet, except "Ma-Ma and ga-ga" He babbles mostly, but can not say any one word. I read and talk to him constantly, I look at picture books with him, and he does not stay interested. I took him to his 18 mo check up, and my Ped said, as long as he understands most of what your saying, looks at you when you call his name, shows eye contact, and smiles at you when you smile, he is ok.

The Immature components are grade 2 (based on the extent of the immature foci). In the comment section it states: The immature neuroepithelial foci seen on several slides, total greater than a 40x microscopic field. Oncologic consultation is recommended. Based on my research, Grading is of extreme importance in determining a course of action.
Avatar n tn what should i ask the surgeon about the pathology? what questions would you ask? about the type of thyroid cancer? is the number of lymph nodes extracted and analyzed a question that i should ask? what else?
437280 tn?1225517803 I just had an ultrasound guided core needle biopsy on a 1cm mass that was detected with mammography and ultrasound. It is non palpable. My family physician called me with the preliminary pathology report. He said there were both Ductile In Situ and Invasive Ductile cancer cells. I'm confused as to how there can be both. Doesn't invasive mean that it's not confined to the duct anymore and therefore not in situ? Or do I actually have two kinds of cancer?
Avatar f tn I can interpret some of my pathology report, but I wanted to see if there was any other feedback from you experts who have been through this. My follow up appt. with my ENT surgeon is on Monday and I'd like to be ready with questions. Can anyone offer any comments or recommended questions I should ask? My dr. told me I would be doing RAI so I'm current off my Levoxyl. Thank you all so much for your continued support. TISSUE A. Mass - Right Thyroid Mass, FS B.
Avatar f tn So, around this time last year I experienced tingling in my left hand that lasted for a few days, coupled with extreme fatigue. Days later, I developed nystagmus only upon waking that lasted for about 10 minutes or so. That eventually went away after about a month. About six months later I had a severe headache that migrated to my right eye and lasted for over a week. Went to an optometrist, no optic neuritis.
Avatar n tn Do bulbar symptoms----slurred speech, strained voice, swallowing problems, ever get better----do they come and go when cause by als?
Avatar f tn I am sceduled for a sureon consult prior to biopsy and am curious as to why I need to meet for a discussion with a surgeon prior to the biopsy which will obviously not have pathology report right away either. Also, if it is an adenoma won't they want to remove that so it does not turn into cancer in the future? I wish they would come up with something faster because this is stressful no matter how many people tell you not to worry.

Avatar n tn My brother had a stroke in June 07 at the age of 28. Couple of questions with some points of history: - Damage to L side of brain. - Much of R side affected including speech. - Positive note... he does comprehend, has decent hip control on R side which allows him to walk with brace/other aids, and has some R shoulder control. - He is working hard on OT, PT, and speech and has shown some recovery... very slow, but it is there.
393942 tn?1315560152 Hi There that helps alot, thank you if you have had recent surgery, then the surgeon has recently evaluated the abdomen. There should be biopsies and pathology reports. Hopefully these all showed that you did not have any sign of malignancy as general rule, you should get copies of your operative notes and pathology reports .
Avatar m tn My daughter just turned 3 a few weeks ago. While she typically talks in 4-5 word sentences and displays an average vocabulary, I think she is struggling with some comprehension issues. If asked a question she doesn't know the answer to, she will automatically answer yes as opposed to thinking about it or responding with ''I don't know.'' I think she knows she's supposed to have an answer, but doesn't know what to do when she doesn't get what you are saying.
Avatar f tn t seen that as a test for dysphagia in any MS forum. It seems more relevant to get a barium swallow or speech pathology assessment. I've had so many tests lately, and spent so much time at the clinic, that I'd like to avoid this if it's not necessary. Any thoughts?
