Avatar m tn I am having such a difficult time doing without the Ativan, sonata and pain meds etc. I am really at a loss as to what to do. What can someone in my situation do? After all these yrs I am in pain and unable to sleep. Is this dangerous to be whipped off of these meds like this?
Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
Avatar m tn Hello, I've been having back pain and insomnia since my surgery 4 months and was prescribed Percocet. My surgeon told me to see a PCP for more Rx and I did. I went to a family practice with 3 doctors and 1 FNP. Two weeks ago, the FNP prescribe me indocin, benadryl, and retin-a(other). None of these medications helped with my back pain and thurday 12/23 I saw the PCP again.
Avatar n tn I am having trouble sleeping while on interferon/ribavirin. Is it safe to eat a valium while on these meds?
Avatar n tn What you posted about making good use of your waking hours is a great start. I did exactly that and what you posted. I also exercise 5 days a week at 5 AM. It actually jumpstarts my day and I really am tired by bedtime. While I was on Tamoxifen I had night sweats, but still got about 6-7 hours of sleep. My sleeplessness became worse after my parents and my father- in- law died in the same year. I was totaling about 4 1/2 hrs. a night.
Avatar f tn I can feel the anxiety and and depression already starting in.. I dont know if it is because I know what to expect or what. This week I also had another blow to my heart and emotions.. My 17 year old daugher moved out with a 25 year old man... I am heartsick about it and I find myself just wanting to take a pill and let that magical feeling take me away instead of dealing with the emotions of what is going on.
Avatar f tn Just something fun for the mammas to answer what type of music calms your baby?
Avatar f tn I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep. It is a struggle. Are there any other meds that any of you take that have helped you in the long term?? I have really gained alot of weight over the years from taking the Seroquel. It is hard for me to lose weight due to osteoarthritis in my knees. I do what I can along with dieting, but cant get the weight off. I am very frustrated... Thanks!
Avatar f tn Your best bet would be to see your doctor and be honest with what is going on here and see about seeking some help with this mess you're in. I take one 10 mg Zolpidem a night and cannot fathom taking more than that. I feel for you man and hope you get some help before it's too late. Good luck and keep posting for support.
Avatar m tn If my sleeping mix is what turned me from being a man into a weeping old grandma, then I can take heart in what Hensley258 is telling me, and maybe my family can have Papa back, maybe the boxer a la Simon & Garfunkel could stand up again. You folks are all so supportive, why do you have so much love in you? Thank you, I'll investigate Immovane as well. I'm supposed to see the guy tomorrow.
1580703 tn?1651904887 hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. I understand your anxiety about the muscle twitching. Clonazepam is known to cause drowsiness and lack of muscle coordination as side effect. There are some rare effects also like uncontrolled body movement and twitching which can be distressful. this is a anti anxiety/anti convulsant of benzodiazepine group and your doctor prescribed you once he deemed that the beneficial effect dominates the anticipated and possible side effects.
Avatar n tn my dr just put me on sonata for sleep and i am being treated for add w/ritalin,lamictal for bpd, wellbrutrin depression, and nerourotin for nerve pain and a few days ago i started grinding my teeth together, looks like i am chewing gum all the time and i also am making grunting sounds.
Avatar f tn I am depressed over this as well as postpartum issues and have just been put on Celexa for anxiety and depression as well as Sonata for sleep by a recommended psychiatrist. The Sonata is too short-acthing though. I called the doc on call but he does not want to prescribe anything stronger until tomorrow, if adding melatonin and/or benadryl does not help. I am currently wearing a holter monitor and have also worn en event monitor recently.
Avatar m tn I have been on zolpidem for around a year and it does help quite a bit but here is what I am really wondering about. I am a medical student and have been concerned that I should not be on zolpidem this long. Can this affect my memory (with the amnesia side effects) or will that just be for the 7-8 hours while the drug is in my system? Also are there long term effects of zolpidem? I was instructed in class that zolpidem should only be given for short term around a month.
1580703 tn?1651904887 ve discovered that to treat my crippling sleep breathing disease I need to use an alpha GABA agonist like klonopin or ambien. is there a medication that is even better like clorazapete or GABA acid OTC? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GABA_receptor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GABA_agonist what does this mean, which disease do I have? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Lol so the question is exactly as it sounds. My 5 year old stepdaughter has to use a booster seat by law here, my 3 year old is in a toddler car seat and now with the little one due any time we have to figure how to squeeze the base and infant seat into there too. We have a 4-door Hyundai sonata. Short of taking off a door I'm pretty stuck on what the heck to do here. lol. Anybody else found to trick to make it all fit safely???

Avatar m tn Sometimes this feeling comes over me again but it is mild. Has anyone experienced this or knows what it is, it is really starting to be too much on me, im scared to do things in case it triggers it again. I have posted this in anxiety based on the nurse telling me it was caused from me almost fainting, however this may not be the right category.
Avatar f tn Hate to add any more drugs to your list but i know what itching all over and not be able to sleep is like. I got up one nite at 3:30 in the morning and went to the cvs and bought some Benadryl. took 2 of them and finally got some sleep. you will be really groggy in the morning , but it will knock you out tonight.
Avatar n tn I have fibromyalgia and my worst symptom is insomnia, what can I do? I have tried Lunesta and it worked for a year and I am now on Xanax which I seem to have to take more and more of to sleep. What can I do?
