Common Questions and Answers about Solodyn and menstrual periods

solodyn

Avatar n tn Solodyn is used for 'acne' and is NOT known for weight loss with it.
Avatar n tn I'm wondering if there's any research supporting a link between solodyn and eye floaters. I was on Solodyn for about 2 months and my vision deteriorated over the same period of time. I have pretty severe floaters that distract me in reading and computer use. Previously a little farsighted but not requiring glasses. Optometrist says the back of my eye looks like "a spiderweb." No retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, etc.
Avatar m tn I just found out that I am 6-7 weeks pregnant and I took Solodyn 115mg for the first month of my pregnancy! I am really scared that this might have harmed my baby. All the websites say to avoid becoming pregnant while taking Solodyn because it has been shown to cause harm to the human fetus. Has anyone been in this situation?
1539436 tn?1292869871 it happen sometime you periods get irregular . and its perfectly normal at your age.
Avatar n tn no results Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim? It seems that antibiotics are the ONLY thing that cure my acne since I have really oily skin. The topicals dry it out in the beginning, and I only apply a little, but then my sebaceous glands quickly make up for the lack of oil.
Avatar m tn Hence it is always best to keep a written record of menstrual cycles and if the irregular periods persist for 3 months, then that is the time to see your doctor. Sometimes a woman can get pregnant and not know, and that can start a bleed after a week.
Avatar m tn com/womens-reproductive-health/menstrual-cycle/reasons-behind-irregular-periods/ Significant weight gain or weight loss is one of the reasons for irregular periods. Even though low body weight is the most common cause of irregular periods, obesity (obesity effects)also causes various interruptions in your regular menstrual cycle. If you are a victim of severe emotional stress, then you can possibly experience irregular or missed periods.
Avatar f tn It causes me to curl up, but it only last about a minute. I started birth control in June 08 because I was having about 60 days between my periods and it was very painful. Now I just got finished with my period that lasted 28 days. My normal discharges have started looking like they tinged with blood, sometimes it looks like there are clots in it. The other problems I have been having I'm just not sure if they are related.
Avatar f tn Moving into a new situation also may cause the number of days to decrease. In serious cases of anorexia and bulimia, periods may cease completely or become very short as the woman loses weight.
Avatar m tn I had really heavy menstrual period and cramps so I was recommended by my doctor to get the depo shot to seize the pain and heavy periods. I took my shot October 19,2015 and was supposed to go back January 22nd to take another one but I never went again since I gained a lot of weight and I want to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn Over the age of 40, it may be due to the menopause and not having a period for 3 years will mean that your menstrual cycle days are finished. Still see your doctor though to make sure that your period have stopped because of the menopause.
Avatar f tn She said because i am breastfeeding and am on the pill, then am not supposed to have any periods. She told me not to worry though and said its normal since i am not breastfeeding as often as before... Am still a bit worried though. I wish i could see a gynae!
Avatar n tn i decided to stop taking them and ive never had the issue again. i went to my doctor and told him and he was going to move me up into the higher level pack. then i decided ill just get off them completely instead. best choice ever.. less depressed/anxious.
Avatar n tn Will i be getting my periods every month even after one of my fallopian tube is removed?
348459 tn?1236098478 Chlamydia may give you spotting and bleeding in between your periods but it won't keep you from bleeding if you are ovulating properly. If she missed her period it is most likely due to the fact she did not ovulate. This discussion is related to Am I too paranoid??.
Avatar n tn If you've been having sex then it's possible. Take a pregnancy test with first morning urine and that will give you your answer. If it's negative then bare in mind that their are other things can delay a period as well, not just pregnancy.
8541403 tn?1409425380 I breastfed my son exclusively until about 8 months and then I slowed down so I got my period December 1st and then I didn't have another one after that and turned out I was pregnant again. :)but I have heard after the baby your periods could be different. I'd just wait and see cause your body is just adjusting!
Avatar f tn I am looking for anyone who has knowledge or experience with Suboxone and affects on the menstrual cycle. I have been taking suboxone prescribed since january. My periods have been relatively normal since, 3-5 days, light, sometimes normal. Last month (march) I only got a one day verrry light period. I have not had anything since. Avatar f tn Hello, Femitrone and morning after pill when taken together can cause withdrawal bleeding and irregular menstrual cycle and it should not interfere with the working of the emergency contraceptive pill. However keep a check on your periods. If you miss them then do a urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your menstrual cycle. Avatar f tn HI, Mirena is known to cause menstrual alteration like scanty periods or no periods or irregular bleeding. But going from no bleeding to excessive bleeding with the same IUD does not seem correct. You should consult your gynaecologist for an examination. Hope this helps.
