You may wish to look first on the internet to see if there are class action suits against the manufacturer, in which all the people who are harmed band together to sue the manufacturer for damages. If you find a class action suit in progress, you may or may not wish to join as a plaintiff.

I have been with the same manufacturer of metoprolol succinate for 2 years and had no problems and now they went out of business and the new manufacturer of the same medication isn't working for me!
I'm currently taking Viread. I think both India generics and the original US FDA approved drug Viread would most likely be the same but you also have to bear in mind that Gilead is the manufacturer that took the drug to US clinical trial and is subject to US's rigorous FDA control. India generics are subject to much less regulation although Cipla is also a reputable drugs manufacturer in India.

The allegation is that generic levo does not have the quality control that brand names have and may vary from batch to batch from the same manufacturer. In addition, there is no guarantee that your pharmacy will buy from the same manufacturer each time.

I got tested using the Abbott Architect here in India. I was worried about Group O and other groups because I lived in Europe for 3 years. All my tests here came back non reactive. I was OK until I found out about the fact that the control for Group O was not available in India, infact it is only available for use in the USand Europe. if the control for Group O is not being used then how can I accept the test to be conclusive?

It's confusing the way that they write it. Subtype E is in the HIV-1 category. It's HIV-1, Group M, subtype E. The test will detect all subtypes of HIV-1. What the test does NOT do is tell you, if positive, what subtype it is. If a person tested positive for HIV=1, further evaluation would be needed to determine the subtype.
