Singulair with ibuprofen

Common Questions and Answers about Singulair with ibuprofen

singulair

Avatar f tn Hi, Yes, some people might develop allergic reactions in the form of facial swelling, hives, asthma, breathing difficulty, shock etc with use of ibuprofen. Most commonly there is aspirin allergy noticed in coincidence with allergy to ibuprofen. Asprin belongs to salicylate group while ibuprofen belongs to NSAID’s group. It does not mean that allergy will occur to every compound of that group.
Avatar f tn My Dr has recommended I try singualr along with Allegra and flonase. He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
460830 tn?1347219306 What was the problem with Singulair a while back? I heard something about it, but I never heard what the problem was with it.
Avatar m tn It causes asthma (Arizona Cypress, Mesquite and Palo Verde are the culprits.) Singulair has helped me very successfully in the past. However, I also take a very low dose blood pressure medication (Lisinopril 20mg). I do not have health insurance and have an alternative source for medications. Would it be advisable for me to purchase Singulair for 3 months to get me through those three months next year. This year was a bit difficult without it.
Avatar m tn i just wanted to post a warning to other parents. my son was on singulair for over 3 years. he was taking the drug for treatment of mild asthma and allergies. he suffered from undetected side effects for 3 years. the side effects were sneaky and subtle and i did not pick up on the cause. at the age of 7, his physician increased his dosage to 5mg due to his age. after that increase, his side effects became loud and clear.
Avatar f tn After visiting with the doctor yesterday due to a sinus infection I decided to confess to her about my headaches. :) Headaches that start behind my left eye, always the left. After several of these headaches, starting about 10 years ago, I finally found that Benedryl with a decongestant takes care of it. However, the longer I wait to take the Benedryl the longer it takes to get it under control. So then it radiates to the back of my head and into my shoulder.
Avatar n tn Since we discovered the loss - and got the aid - just over a year ago, his behavior and speech have improved. He also has allergy induced asthma. He takes Singulair daily and takes Pulmicort and Xopenex as needed via nebulizer when he starts to show signs of coughing. My husband and I went to his parent-teacher conference yesterday - for pre-school - and we were advised by his team (speech therapist, psychologist, etc.) that we should discuss his behavior with our pediatrician.
Avatar m tn Does not matter which direction I roll them. The pain is there like under my brow. Touching them with mild pressure on the eyelids also causes similar pain (I know - then don't do thta!) Does NOT hurt to blink, hurts less when closed and moving. I am 50 years old. I wear only 'storebought readers' for computer or reading, with just a 1.5 setting. Eyes dont' burn or itch much. I do have allergies and take Singulair/zyrtec combo.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
Avatar n tn After about a month he started having a problem with his legs and groin itching. He took himself off the Singulair as that is what he decided was the problem. He has gotten by with just the Advair inhaler. In the past month he's really been struggling with breathing problems.
Avatar m tn Thing is, when carrying out physical activities breath is faster, But can live with that. Good bye Singulair So be careful with singulair and use it at THE ONLY helpless situation This discussion is related to Side Effect of Singulair -- twitching.
Avatar n tn Head tremors could be also a side-effect, as it is consistent with the possible side effects presented with the use of Singulaire, however, not directly listed itself as one, but rather linked to one ( seizures, dizziness, headaches, etc). It should be reported to your prescribing Doctor immediately. Please offer more details such as reasons for taking it and other symptoms. There may be better options available. Take care.
370736 tn?1247242917 Hi everyone! Does anyone else out there have asthma? This is my first pregnancy with asthma and the whole thing is putting me on edge. I just got over a bad cold and had to use inhalers etc. Even when I didn't have the cold I already felt breathless at times. I think it is part of the whole hormonal thing but just double checking to see if anyone else has had similar symptoms. Thanks.

Avatar f tn Given this recommendation, it would be wise for you to consult with either your primary care doctor or with a GI specialist, assuming you have been by one, for your hepatitis. It should be possible to find a dose of one of these drugs that will give you relief from your allergic symptoms.
Avatar n tn I see many folks are experiencing side effects from Singulair. So am I ... I think. I was taking Singulair for just 5 days for and upper respiratory cold and began having tingling and numbness in my extremities. I stopped immediately. My question is, after eliminating all other possible causes (through a number of tests including MRIs, blood work, metals testing) with my doctor, I still have numbness, tingling and burning taking place in my legs and arms for 3 months now.
Avatar f tn MOMOF1SON Did u post anything on the internet about ur experience with singulair it seems like i have read that exact same thing somewhere else oonline.I know that is mostly what u will find if you look up the drug but it seems like I read your exact story somewhere else.
Avatar f tn is there another medicine similar to singulair that doesn't have the bad side effects
Avatar m tn My son started taking Singulair in Oct.2012, and then he started complaining about his leg, some kind of weird sensation. He called itchy feeling, but it was something he could not scratch away, something underneath the skin. He kept asking me to punch his leg with a 5-pound dumbbell. He wakes up twice or three times per night. He puts some hard things under his leg, and put press on it. He does it almost every night. He can't get enough sleep.
Avatar m tn what can i do to make this better ,it is making me weak at times where i cant seem to function right., ive been taking singulair for allergies but nothing works ...
Avatar f tn I take singulair and doxepin perscribed by my allergist to control hives. I sometimes breakout with red pimple sores that hurt. A medical friend said the sores look like spider bites, but I'm sure they aren't. Can either singulair or doxepincause this reaction, and if so, what can I do for the sores short of not taking the medicine. Benidryl and oether similar medicines do not control my hives.
Avatar f tn PLEASE HELP Let me add that she is NOT in tears because the Singulair has made her depressed, we heard all about that in the news. She is in tears because of the agony she's in because of how BAD her arms and legs feel all the time!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter is on Singulair and just finished a short course of Prednisone. On her 4th day [last day] of Prednisone, her legs and arms started to feel very weak and heavy and numb[she said they felt "thick"].
Avatar n tn Instead, ask your son’s doctor whether you can use Singulair 4mg granules. Do discuss this dosing with your son’s doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
