Singulair junior 5 mg

Common Questions and Answers about Singulair junior 5 mg

singulair

Avatar n tn No, Singulair (montelukast sodium) and zyrtec do not contain cortisone. If your son is prescribed 5 mg of Singulair then try to get that instead of a 10 mg preparation (you can get 4 mg and 5mg chewable tablets—ask the pharmacist or the doctor about these). Usually a medication which can be broken into half and used this way to half the dose has a line break on the tablet. Usually Singulair does not have such line breaks.
Avatar f tn Both Singulair (montelukast) and Accolate are leukotriene modifiers. It is available in tablet form. Tablets of 10 mg and 20 mg.

Avatar f tn My 11 year old daughter was on Singular for a couple years. Late in the summer she developed an eye blink type tic. Med doctor and eye doctor didn't find a cause. A few months later the doctor upped her singular to 5 mg for her age. Shortly after that she started a throat clearing tic followed by a tic where she would quickly stick her tongue in and out. It was very concerning and noticable. Took her to her doc and she suggested stopping the singular.
Avatar n tn 70 and if you are only on 5 mg of Lipitor the first thing I would do is to increase the Lipitor dose to 40 mg daily. Crestor is stronger mg for mg as compared to Lipitor but there is no data that suggests it is better.
Avatar f tn I have AIH and am on 50 mg of Imuran and 2.5 mg of prednisone daily. My liver is stage 3 but the disease is under control. I get such allergies from outside in spring and fall that it literally puts me down. Everything I read that is out there is not for people with liver problems. I used to be on daily doses of singulair but have been off for them for quite a few years. Is there anything I can buy either via a doctor or on the market to help me that wont harm me more?
Avatar n tn I was taking Singulair for just 5 days for and upper respiratory cold and began having tingling and numbness in my extremities. I stopped immediately. My question is, after eliminating all other possible causes (through a number of tests including MRIs, blood work, metals testing) with my doctor, I still have numbness, tingling and burning taking place in my legs and arms for 3 months now. Has anyone experienced such long term effects? If so, what can be done if anything?
460830 tn?1347219306 What was the problem with Singulair a while back? I heard something about it, but I never heard what the problem was with it.
Avatar m tn i just wanted to post a warning to other parents. my son was on singulair for over 3 years. he was taking the drug for treatment of mild asthma and allergies. he suffered from undetected side effects for 3 years. the side effects were sneaky and subtle and i did not pick up on the cause. at the age of 7, his physician increased his dosage to 5mg due to his age. after that increase, his side effects became loud and clear.
Avatar f tn My Dr has recommended I try singualr along with Allegra and flonase. He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar m tn It causes asthma (Arizona Cypress, Mesquite and Palo Verde are the culprits.) Singulair has helped me very successfully in the past. However, I also take a very low dose blood pressure medication (Lisinopril 20mg). I do not have health insurance and have an alternative source for medications. Would it be advisable for me to purchase Singulair for 3 months to get me through those three months next year. This year was a bit difficult without it.
Avatar m tn My son started taking Singulair in Oct.2012, and then he started complaining about his leg, some kind of weird sensation. He called itchy feeling, but it was something he could not scratch away, something underneath the skin. He kept asking me to punch his leg with a 5-pound dumbbell. He wakes up twice or three times per night. He puts some hard things under his leg, and put press on it. He does it almost every night. He can't get enough sleep.
Avatar f tn , 110 pounds, taking Zocor 10 mg, Lotrel 5/20, HCTZ 25 mg, and 50 mcg Synthroid. Approx. 11 months ago in June, I woke up with a head cold, followed by an issue where I would run out of air when I spoke along with breathing discomfort in my upper chest. Sometimes the discomfort makes me cough, but it's a slight dry cough and never hacking. It doesn't bother me when I sleep.
Avatar n tn 2 years ago he was put on Advair disk inhaler, Singulair, and Allegra D as his regimen. After about a month he started having a problem with his legs and groin itching. He took himself off the Singulair as that is what he decided was the problem. He has gotten by with just the Advair inhaler. In the past month he's really been struggling with breathing problems.

Avatar f tn The past few months of sicknesses has been the worst. He was on prednisone 3 more times and still while on Singulair. Now he is on Flovent and Singulair hoping to keep his wheezing under control. But he remains with this wet cough. It's from the asthma. Has your son ever had wheezing? The Singulair is pretty safe although it can have sleeping side effects. We have to give to him at night right b-4 bed or it keeps him up. It has helped, but just not enough.
Avatar m tn It also seems to be aggravated by fresh cut grass. I am taking prednisone 10 mg and soon to be taking Flovent and singulair to see if this has any effect on my symptoms. It is very strange though because I done very well on all of my Asthma tests that I had over the summer, I wonder if it is some sort of allergic reaction that is triggering this, or if this is asthma?
Avatar m tn hav been taking singulair for 3 years. Cramps in fingers, throat and leg occured common. Shoulders drooped. Standing and sitting posture gone really bad. Extreme tiredness 24X7. Always thirsty even after gulping bottles of water. Inactive physically and mentally. Become even more inferior in social gatherings and activities. Can't even meet minimum commitments and thus affects career and personal, family relationships. After dropping Everything became normal after 8 - 10 days.
Avatar m tn ve been taking amplodipine / norvasc 10 mg (antihypertensive) for about a year and a half now and montelukast / singulair 10 mg (leukotriene modifier) for shorter periods (2 months, march - may 2008 and 2 months this year, started in early may and still on it). Last month, after having been on fluoxetine / prozac for about 1 year, I showed some deterioration (more depressive symptoms, more anxiety / panic attacks).
370736 tn?1247242917 I have asthma and use inhaler (long acting and short acting) and Singulair. My pulmonary doc and OB said they're fine to use in pregnancy. I have been using my inhaler a lot more during pregnancy and I'm pretty sure it's because we are now breathing for 2 and our blood flow (which carries oxygen) is going for 2.
586504 tn?1226473165 Her blood count was going back up and her lungs were the same. So she was given Factive 320 mg., Singulair 10 mg, Proventil HFA Inhaler, and ADvair and a steroid shot. August 7 she went to the Pulmonologist and was told her X-Rays look fine and they did the Spirometer breathing 'test' in which she passed with flying colors! The only thing he could see was that she was "Holding" a little air somewhere and was put on Singulair again! It hasn't helped at all!
Avatar n tn I have been taking singulair for a couple of years now and have all of a sudden developed a head tremor.
