Avatar m tn Also although I think that extracurricular activities are important the focus should be on education in general and doing well in school. Also there should be more activities where students work with each other. I remember that students that were doing well and were older were often asked to tutor kids that were not doing well in lower grades. And I would also stop obsessively pressuring kids with placement tests at each level of school. The S.A.T.

Avatar n tn Better you learn to eat a healthy diet, high in antioxidant rich vegetables and essential fats with the proper balance of good carbs and protein and worry more about strength from the weight training than how you look. And look to your flexibility -- huge muscles are nice for those who like them, but they can interfere with movement. Train to be fit, not to be huge, if you want to be healthy.

973741 tn?1342342773 I'm not sure how I feel about all the "free" college tuition, etc... we all know free isn't really free because somebody has to pay for it but we also know that our kids are the future and they need an education but many of them can't afford to get through high school, let alone a college or university.
Avatar n tn It tests your physical endurance for sure. Basically you do extreme flexibility and strength poses in a blaring hot room that is hotter than a sauna. Supposedly really healthy for you. But people who cannot endure it physically end up puking sometimes. Also, always do some cardio with strength training. Are you in any sports? Could be could to balance it out. You need to learn the dangers of dehydration. If you work out a lot, you can't just drink plain water.

Avatar m tn In the last 5 years I have realized that I get lower back, hip and leg pain. But here is the funny part...It only happens if I have gone without a workout for a week or two. Initially I thought it's not so bad, because it forced me to get back in the gym if I have been lazy for a while. But recently the amount of "off time" required to bring on the pain is decreasing. It's getting to the point that I literally cannot miss a single training session.
678449 tn?1263554616 You have been missed. I am glad that you have returned. I do not take Savella so I cannot respond to that portion of your question. However I do know about DO's. My PCP is a Doctor of Osteopathy who specializes in Internal Medicine. The function and practice just like a medical doctor. Their training encompasses all that a medical doctor does. Osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) is incorporated into the training and practice.
Avatar m tn This is dangerous advice. You should rely on the advice of a medical doctor who practices according to evidence-based medicine (i.e., peer-reviewed literature based on clinical trials). While it is important to do your own research and work, this should supplement not replace the care of your doctor who has undergone multiple years of education and training.
Avatar f tn RA attacks primarily cartilage, and there is cartilage tissue in the rib cage. When RA attacks it, it becomes inflamed and sore just like a joint, which of course causes pain and a feeling of tightness when you breathe. You could also be suffering from fibromyalgia, which often occurs with RA and causes body pain and fatigue. It's very important that you be treated for RA, not just the symptoms which is what Darvocet was doing.

It’s only in this ultra-modern context that a group like Isis could grow and flourish. They expertly deploy modern technology to recruit and communicate. Some of their recruits even purchased Islam for Dummies before trying to head to the war zone. Now there’s an ultra-modern “fake it until you make it” mentality.

Avatar f tn This may be a crazy question, but I'm trying to figure out my summer and chemo! Is there 'wiggle' room with the chemo treatments? or do you have to go on the same day every three weeks? My six weeks is almost up and I need to get started and want to do it on Fridays so that I'll have the week-end to recover, but 4th of July falls on the Friday that I would get my second treatment and I'm assuming that they don't do chemo on that day. Thanks for any info.
