Hi-- I just learned that my husband is addicted to vicodin. He is ready to get help. We live in California and don't have health insurance. We've called a few programs and are waiting to hear from them. I need advice please.
My brother admitted himself to a rehab facility after being in the hospital. Now my mom went to get him out they are saying they will now transfer him to a long term facility because he used the word 'shoot'. As in a gun. He wants out. My mother wants him out. What are our options. this is in Georgia, we want to bring him back to California. Please help!!
I also was an IV drug user for about a year then went to rehab when 6 months later they required i take an HIV/HEP C test. Both came out negative. By the grace of God, I have now been clean for over 2 years. Since then i had one casual sexual encounter with a female that I knew had used IV drugs in the past. I have no reason to believe she is HIV+, just the possibility she may have gotten it from using needles. The first half of the sex was protected.
Did anyone see the rehab show last night. I can't imagine a rehab place letting women jump in a pool where it was so bad they couldn't show it on TV. I thought sex was not allowed in rehab and I considered that letting that happen was a big no no on the part of the rehab facility.
I also see that Daniel Baldwin wants to leave. I use to like the guy now I think he is full of sh@@. I also think he is using.
Don't they do blood tests to see if people are using??
I'm in California too! This weather is already driving me crazy and I'm due in October. I stick my waters in the freezer so it's always ice cold.
My partner of 20 years came home from rehab 2 weeks ago, had to get of methadone quick as drug testing had started in work. Is on sub now, he has always been a bit paranoid, but now is unbearable. I can't go out, see friends or do most basic things. I am on day 14 of own detox, and findong it hard to cope with, its making it so much harder than it needs to be. Is this normal, or does he need help.

Anyhow, the deal I had with my Father was that I would go do inpatient if I relapsed again--and I did--so you can guess where I am. I am in southern california but from northern california. I am currently living in a sober living house and doing outpatient at this rehab until a bed opens up for me there in a few weeks.
Where I am freaking out and all in my head is the time I will have to be in treatment.
Hey y'all, I am actually on the plane now off to rehab!!!! I am so scared of detox and leaving my family, but i know deep down inside, this is the right thing to do. I can only pray that i will get through this and come out stronger than ever and continue to seek therapy. This really has been a long dark road for me and i am ready to take charge of my life, i am going into rehab with an open mind and i am going to fight this demon with everything i got in me, and i will WIN!!!!
Has anyone every been to rehab for drug addiction? If so...I would like to chat with you about my nephew who had to be taken to rehab after an overdose of Xanax.
