Hi,
I've been reading a lot online but cannot find anything closely related to the problem I'm experience.. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on.
Almost every time after I have (unprotected) sex with my girfriend, I get small red bumps (~20-30) on my penis--mostly along the front and sides and lower foreskin-- as well as sometimes a few near my stomach and pubic hair. This has happened maybe 10 times.
something that looks like someone poked him with a needle so it not the typical cut a razor blade would cause but a poke kind of.
anyway, had the wife clean his lip really well and with alcohol etc....
common sense says he is fine as it wasnt something major . also i do clean my razor pretty ok after shaving but a worry is a worry and i cant help it.
called his pediatritionist clinic today and asked i can come in to make sure his antibodies are good from back when he completed the vaccine..

For transmission, plenty of infectious fluid is needed to be exchanged inside the body, for which, a safety razor does not qualify.
However, for personal hygiene, and to prevent other contageous infections, it is always better to avoid anybody else's kits. You may use a different brand having different color to eliminate the risk of picking up the wrong razor inadvertently.
You are most likely having an allergic reaction to whatever shaving cream or lotion you are applying to your legs, assuming you are using a safety razor. It is also possible that you do have extra-sensitive skin and the skin response is to mechanical irritation from the shaving device you are using. You might want to switch to a “non-allergenic” shaving cream/lotion product. On the mechanical side be sure to avoid using any razor that is not ultra-sharp.
Hi-I used a (used) safety razor at a golf course and cut myself. 10 Days later I had throbbing voluntary muscles throughout my body and a sinus issues. The sinus issue cleard up in two weeks, but the throbbing eased into a dull ache-particularly in my right biceps that I've had for 6 months, I was tested thoroughly for HVC (multiple antibody, PCR Qual) and HVB. All negative. My hepatologist has referred me to a neurologist saying the razor was just a coincidence.
I have sensitive, fair skin and I normally shave with an electric razor for this reason. Last Sunday morning, it broke so I opted for a wet shave using an unused three-blade razor that looked to be of good quality that I found in the cabinet. Stupidly, I only realized after the fact that this was a women's razor intended for leg-shaving.
Within a few minutes of shaving, my face turned a deep red as if I had gotten a bad sunburn.
Turns out it was razor bumps but since i was picking at them n tryin to pop them i got them infected so they gave me some antibiotic but i did get some blood drawn for safety reasons n will know the results on those by next week
Can you get hcv from a razor you inspect and has no visable blood then rinse in soapy water to be sure?
A razor blade, not an electric razor within an hour prior? Yes, that ought to greatly up the risk from oral as a safety blade may have made one or more minute nicks in your skin (not enough to hurt or visibly bleed, but, leaving enough wounding for infected saliva to breach the skin barrier).
Eight weeks does sound long enough though (especially if that's the recommended period).
I dont know why but I assumed it was harmless to use while pregnant. Now im looking online and see its a class C! Im nervous I may have done harm to baby. Anyone else use albuterol while pregnant first trimester?
m just being my usual paranoid self but this is really eating me up alive. I had forgotten my shaving razor when I stayed at a hotel over 3 weekends ago. The hotel staff brought over a disposable one upon my request. Although not packaged (or sealed), the razor appeared to be new and I went ahead used it. I cut very easily when shaving and there was definitely blood from me in this instance.
No burning sensation during urination and does not look like herpes or genital warts from what i found online. It seems to be more like fordyce spots or folloculitis inflammation. Please, any advice/opinion would help! Thank you!
Also background info, i used a fairly old razor to shave 4 weeks prior to the first sexual intercourse -- could it be some kind of infection/virus from the razor reemerging when irritated?
Right now I am sitting in my dorm and I am not really sure if I even want to be alive...I have a razor and for about an hour now I have been thinking about cutting my wrist and I didn't know where else to go to get support or advice or something...Maybe I will call the suicide hotline but then again why I don't even feel like talking for real..its taking a lot just to right this...why should I even be here anyway why not just use the razor...I am just a waste of a 22 year old...
Razors are somewhat a needle-like object, and it is inevitable that during shaving blood will get onto the razor. Someone who shaves, using a used razor (of someone who is HIV positive), may get cuts while they are shaving that may possibly allow the virus a way to enter into the body. It's probably unlikely, in the first place, that the virus would even survive on a razor... but there is a bit of risk, so why even have that risk when it can be completely avoided?
appx 11 weeks ago I had a few drinks and used a used safety razor in the shower at a massage parlor (all women giving massages). I cut my neck shaving. At 8 days my biceps and triceps began aging-my thighs slightly too. My sinuses became inflamed and cleared up in abt three weeks. My muscles have improved but now at 10 weeks still are a bit weak. . I have had a temperature slighly below normal (98.0) for a while now. I had an HIV rapit test @ 6.5 and again at 9 weeks. Both were negative.
I think that if you are that concerned about the chances that you may catch HCV then you should talk to your friend about your fears. Being honest about our care/responsibility in living around other 's and their safety when we have a disease is important. More than likely you should not be able to get hep C unless it is blood to blood . I gave birth to my children and did not know I had HCV and neither have contracted HCV or the father in the 30 years of having it.

could i get someone's opnion on this article, i recently used someone else's razor and freaked out it may take more than 3 to 6 months, to show up antibodies because i may have been exposed to a little amount of blood.
If you mean razor burn,like those little bumps you get after shaving your vag,there is a great product I use called tend skin. I dab it on with a cotton ball right after I get out of the shower and I don't get them anymore. I bought it at a day spa,but I think u can order it online.
I had this problem last summer before I found out I was expecting. I promise I feel your pain. I had em like 4 different times. 2 under one, 2 under the other. I had to stop shaving so often. & make sure your razor is clean. I also use witch hazel under my arms after I shave before I put on deoderant. If you need relief, use a hot towel to bring it to a head. Then burn tha tip of a safety pin or a needle and stick it in that middle. You will need assistance because it hurts like hell.
I wan wondering what the exact symptoms of Herpes is..... i've read countless online postings about how it is supposed to itch, burn, and be painful, but can it be painless and have no signs? In the past couple of months i've gotten a cold sore, but never have had an outbreak in my vaginal region. I do have a bump but I just thought it was a razor bump. How do I know if I have herpes of not?
Can herpes be transmitted from a razor? A month ago I used my aunts razor by mistake. I go back and forth from her house a lot because she is almost in her 80s. Ok so i first got my period on 14th of December and a week later i accidentally used my step brothers razor to shave down there for swimming. (EW I KNOW) Then in January i missed my period (Irregular periods) So when i told my friend she was like ''Woah i think you need to see a doctor..'' No big deal. Life went on. 2 weeks ago I had shaved and felt a razor burn feeling immediate and after sex that night I had a painful raw feeling and the next day it burned when I urinated. I told my husband. The following day my husband said his penis was getting raw.
