I personally do not believe the low positive cardiolipin titers were related to infertility; the relationship is with recurrent pregnancy loss. I too respect your RE' reasoning for initiating lovenox, but would not have done so myself - a matter of opinion and my interpretation of the research and evidence available.

I have been diagnosed with having several blood clots in both lungs, which started from the back of my left leg. No word on what or how, as I was checked for this condition in October of 2013. Anywho.... just wondering if anyone has had/having his experience as I'm concerned for my babies health with all of the meds (pain, blood thinners) that I will have to take for the term of my pregnancy.

I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.

just started me on Lovenox, I got one + hpt, still waiting on beta confirmation, but anyway, just gave myself an injection of Lovenox and now I am feeling a little light headed. Is this normal? What are some of the side effects I can expect?

My last cycle was a BFP but I miscarried at 8 1/2 weeks (no fetal pole, no heart beat). I have a DVT (recurring blood clot) in my left leg and am sometimes placed on Lovenox to help thin my blood. When I am taking aspirin, I don't have to take the Lovenox...Good luck to you!

I've been on Lovenox for the last 12 weeks of my pregnancy (I'm 22 1/2 weeks now)...my baby has been fine. They just watch both of us a little closer. I'm not sure if the doctor told you but, Lovenox is pretty much the only blood thinner you can take that does not pass through your placenta. I guess for me, I had to weigh the risks of not taking the shot vs what "might" happen.

I've used lovenox with my last pregnancy and with this pregnancy due to a blood clotting disorder. Lovenox is perfectly safe. does not cross the placenta but thins the blood just enough and very evenly to prevent blood clots. there are no side effects except maybe I bruised slightly easier.

Yes, I'm currently taking it..I've been very tired this pregnancy thus far but not sure if its a side effect of the med. I'm 12+5 along and you..if you don't mind me asking why exactly do you have to take it.. congrats!

Hi I just did my first lovenox injection and think I might not be doing it right. I really had to push very hard for the needle to go in then it stopped about a third of the way and I had to jam it in the rest of the way. does this sound right? I have plenty of fat so it's not as if I got held up on muscle or anything.

He may want to keep you on Lovenox until the end of the pregnancy? In general you will want to stop blood thinners before the due date. Do ask him why he thinks you should have a C-section.

I've never been on Lovenox...but am a nurse and give the injections all the time......You may have some spotting only b/c it's a blood thinner...but I'm not sure that it would be unsafe to have some spotting...as long as your cervix is in good shape.....

I also asked him if I can just up the dose of Lovenox instead of taking aspirin. He said the mechanisms of both medicine are different. One does not replace the other. So he prefers me keep taking it if my stomach can take it. I wonder what he will suggest next appointment. The baby aspirin I am taking is coated 81mg. I rarely had stomach problems before this pregnancy. And I always took the aspirin with a meal. I don't know why my stomach is so sensitive to aspirin.

Im on Lovenox due to the fact that I've had blood clots in both of my lungs in the past. Everything is great. Im currently using medicaid and I pay only $3 as a copay. I get 36 shots at a time so my supply lasts a lil over a month.

i give birth 6 weeks ago i had blood clots in my lungs they gave me lovenox inj? the medicaid was covering it, but now after my pregnancy ended they stoped the medicaid and i cannot afford seeing the dr or the inj. i still got 5000mg heparin but i dont use because after my pregnancy ended they swithed me to lovenox i now take only asprin 325mg am i at risk what can do about it !!

I'm just really nervous about the fact that my doctor told me in order to get an epidural the drug will have had to be out of my system for about 12 hours. He acted like it was pretty common and no big deal, but I'm just worried. If there is too much of the drug in my system it could cause a blood clot causing permanent paralysis! Get one of those bracelets made up with the disorder written on it and in case of an emergency everyone will know to take added precautions. You would have to discuss with your ob wether or not vbac or another c section is indicated. Which ever you have I'm hopeful you will have a good out come. Let your family take good care of you for a while. You will need all your rest with two precious kids to look after.
