rozerem

Avatar f tn Hello! Which sleeping pill is stronger, Belsomra or Rozerem? I take 2 tablets of Belsomra at night for 20 mg plus 2 tablets of Donormil. Should I try Rozerem?
Avatar m tn Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours. I know I just need some sleep!
Avatar n tn She also has a sleep disorder that we finally saw a pediatric sleep specialist for-- now she uses a blue spectrum light every morning. Occasionally, we use Rozerem 8mg (prescribed by the peds sleep specialist) --but only occasionally when we are unable to do her light therapy. Is there any connection between sleep disorders & early adrenarche? And is this adrenarche when it is only her axillary area involved?
Avatar m tn t induce at night but feel sleepy at day time thus disturbing my working days.I want to start with Rozerem for inducing sleep.I wish to take this medication for a month or two and discontinue and get my sleep naturally as usual. Can the sleep disorder rebound after discontinuation? I've also been taking sertraline since many years, could these two drugs interact,if yes what are the effects?
Avatar m tn There have been concerns about the safety of melatonin from what I know so Rozerem being an FDA approved medication in that in works in the same manner but is a known quantity is a better option. I was precribed Rozerem a while back to use as needed and I do so responsibly but it hasn't been in a long time. It can if directed by a psychiatrist be used every day to work to adjust the sleep cycle and has been helpful for some people I know in that regard.
Avatar n tn If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning. My brother in law takes it. He seems to like it. But hes also not an addict of any sort. Ambien CR is scary. When it starts to work I felt like I was paralized. I was awake but could not move my body. I wouldnt have been able to get up if I was on fire. Good luck to you.
Avatar m tn It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
Avatar f tn Trazodone or Rozerem but, in the end, none of them are a solution to insomnia because they don;t work well in the short term and stop working in the long-term. CBT is the only permanent, effective solution. Dr. Jacobs www.cbtforinsomnia.
Avatar f tn s for approx 30years) takes seroquel with no problems. In fact, he has noticed a decrease in his nightmares and odd hallucinations. so if your doctor has recommended it, it may be worth a try. They should normally suggest starting with a small dose, so you can see how you go. You can always run it past your neurologist too if you are still unsure.
Avatar n tn Can anyone let me know if Rozerem 8mg (RX sleep aid) and Prozac 20 mg (antidepressant) are safe to take with methadone (15mg daily) I am detoxing after 15 years on MMT and have slowly "tapered" my dose from 60mg daily to 15mg daily. I am having some insomnia & depression/antiety issues related to my husband being on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Just want to make sure i'm not gonna "croak" if I take the other meds.
Avatar m tn Yes at the time I was aware of one person who acquired it. From what it states on websites about this medication this is an extremely rare adverse side effect. The full information would be in the P.D.R. (Physician's Desk Reference) and also in the physician's only database that your psychiatrist could access online. Some natural remedies may be of some help as a sleep aide but some have some side effects of concern of their own.
Avatar f tn Hello! Can I take Belsomra and Rozerem together if the effect of one drug is not enough?
741315 tn?1232458427 Ambien is not meant for everyday use as a sleeping aide as it can be addictive. Lunesta or Rozerem are two better choices. Rozerem works in the same manner as Melatonin and actually adjusts the sleep cycle. Those are some ideas to speak to your psychiatrist about.
Avatar f tn Best to ask your doc this question, as that person has examined you and knows your full med history. Suggest continuing to work on your anxiety disorder and as you make progress expect your sleep to improve. Ask also about using a CBT sleep training program as a permanent, sustainable, and substance-free solution.
Avatar f tn Why do doctors tell us things are not addictive but then you read online that everyone is struggling with being addicted to them? I was prescribed Rozerem and given the generic. I'm terrified to take it. It is to help me sleep but is also a anti-depressant. I just don't understand. The pharmacist even said it is not addictive.
1673169 tn?1316541930 Yes for me it took some time to work although each person responds differently to each medication or treatment but it might be worthwhile to ask your psychiatrist about Rozerem which is an FDA approved medication that works exactly like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. Also it has an exact dose and quantity unlike any natural remedy so if they considered it a possibility could find out what dose would work right for you.
Avatar f tn Nurse presc. Rozerem for my sleep problem. Taking xanax 4 times daily .25mg. Has anyone taken this sleep aid with success or was it bad? Any replies good or bad PLEASE! She pres.
994257 tn?1266242692 Yes I had that problem when I was on Lamictal (and some other mood stabilizers as well). I know since I had trouble falling asleep in addition to sleep disruption I was prescribed the sleep aide Rozerem which is non addictive and actually adjusts the sleep cycle like melatonin but I don't know if it would be prescribed for sleep disruption but you could ask your psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn One medication you might want to ask your psychiatrist about is Rozerem which is an FDA approved sleep aide that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive.
Avatar f tn These drugs are believed to possess similar abuse potentials. Ramelteon (Rozerem), works differently in the body to treat insomnia. It is not considered to be a controlled substance. Zolpidem (Ambien) and eszopiclone (Lunesta) have been shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs and increase total sleep time. The sleep induced by them resembles natural sleep. Ramelteon (Rozerem) has shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs.
Avatar n tn however, i do have some tips that can help, this is going to sound really silly, but when you get into bed, imagine a box with a lock and key beside the bed, close your eyes, in your mind, open the box, anything that is bothering you or those thoughts that keep going round in your head that are causing you not to sleep, imagine transporting them from your brain to the box, then close the box and lock it, then imagine putting the key in a drawer and telling your self that your problems or anx
1116728 tn?1276797124 I have taken Klonopin for 10 years without a problem though which is in the same class of medications. The potential of addiction can occur with benzodiazepenes (that class of anti-anxiety medication) but if taken responsibly usually is not a problem. If you are concerned though Rozerem is one FDA approved option that is safe and non addictive and works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask them if that's a possibility but it would be within their judgment of course.
Avatar n tn Ambien does have that potential side effect and people can build up a tolerance to it. You could ask your psychiatrist about Rozerem which is an FDA approved sleep aide that is safe and non addictive and works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle.
