Rozerem and staying asleep

Common Questions and Answers about Rozerem and staying asleep

rozerem

Avatar f tn Do you have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep after falling asleep or both? The hope is if you are treating your anxiety disorder, that your insomnia will get better.
Avatar n tn (I forgot to mention Zyprexa in previous post) But strangest thing is she becomes much more difficulty in falling and staying asleep. In theory, if the dyskinesia/teeth grinding went away, she should feel much better and more easier to get into sleep. But it does not. Also, in recent two weeks, she looks like to have difficulty in 'initiate the swallow for water' only in the morning before any medicine. This is very strange because it occurs only in the morning before sinemet.
Avatar f tn ve had problems with getting to sleep and staying asleep for several years. How long can I continue to take seroquel for sleep? Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
603015 tn?1329862973 That can be taken everyday and might get your sleep cycle more in order. And as for Rozerem and Lunesta unlike the other two medications which have to be withdrawn over time if someone has built up a tolerance to them, being that this is not an issue, if the medication for bipolar adjusts itself and your sleeping becomes more normal you can stop them at that point without a problem. You might ask about those two especially Rozerem.
Avatar n tn The only side effect I had was strange taste in my mouth when it started to kick in. But I would fall asleep and STAY asleep for 7 to 8 hours. When I wake up, Im wide awke and feel rested. If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning. My brother in law takes it. He seems to like it. But hes also not an addict of any sort.
Avatar f tn I use the aromatherapy from bath and body works called sleep. It helps but it doesn't keep me asleep.
Avatar m tn There are safer sleeping medications such as Lunesta and Rozerem. My concern about Trazadone is the fact that it can cause tardive dyskinesia. If you are not taking it for depression but as a sleep aid you might want to ask your psychiatrist about the two I mentioned. This link is from a psychiatric journal and lists all known medications that can cause tardive dyskinesia and Trazadone is clearly listed as one.
994257 tn?1266242692 Yes I had that problem when I was on Lamictal (and some other mood stabilizers as well). I know since I had trouble falling asleep in addition to sleep disruption I was prescribed the sleep aide Rozerem which is non addictive and actually adjusts the sleep cycle like melatonin but I don't know if it would be prescribed for sleep disruption but you could ask your psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn Isn't Rozerem very closely related to melatonin? I've tried melatonin and valerian for insomnia. Neither with much success. Surely there are other alternatives besides trazadone and rozerem. I would like to know what they are.
Avatar m tn I have a very hard time staying asleep. I have been taking Nyquil at night and it has worked great keeping me asleep. I just don't think it is very good for me. Is Tyenol pm better to take? Is it bad to take that on a regular basis too?
1310435 tn?1273598077 Hi, katiefaye. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? I have sleep apnea as well as insomnia. I've taken Melatonin (an over the counter item), Rozerem (works well, and is a prescription item), and now I'm taking Tofranil(orescription) to help with my chronic headaches AND insomnia. There is also a brand of antihistamine that helps with sleep, too. Your best bet, again, is to speak with your doctor. Good luck.
689327 tn?1240229164 After all the stress I have been having my grandma died on Saturday night she was the most important person in the world to me and the only people I have left is my mom and dad and they live 2 1/2 hours away and are not all that supportive, her death dosen't seem real and I just wake up in a complete panic and can't go back to sleep? It was hard enough before but know its impossible any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I don't have much problems falling asleep...but I do have problems staying asleep. Like I would wake up 2-4 times a night...but fall back asleep in less than 10 minutes. This happens EVERY night. I'd probably get at least 5-6 hours of sleep. Is this a normal symptom for anxiety? What can I do to prevent these awakenings? I never used to sleep like this. by the way, i am diagnosed with GAD. but I have mild symptoms.
Avatar n tn i find my self thinking and worrying about the stupidest things before i get into bed, i find it so hard to fall asleep, when i do however, the dreams and nightmares start, when i wake after having one, i just cant get back to sleep. my doc prescribed me a sleeping tab called zimovane, so far they havent worked very well.
Avatar m tn I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours. I know I just need some sleep!
1088646 tn?1256949923 The FDA approved sleep aide Rozerem works exactly like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive and can be taken every day. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
985832 tn?1249126599 If its an issue with sleep aides Rozerem is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive and is actually more effective than melatonin
Avatar n tn She also has a sleep disorder that we finally saw a pediatric sleep specialist for-- now she uses a blue spectrum light every morning. Occasionally, we use Rozerem 8mg (prescribed by the peds sleep specialist) --but only occasionally when we are unable to do her light therapy. Is there any connection between sleep disorders & early adrenarche? And is this adrenarche when it is only her axillary area involved?
Avatar f tn Hello! Can I take Belsomra and Rozerem together if the effect of one drug is not enough?
750172 tn?1256147076 Hi, I was just googling Ambien and Lexapro and read your question. I take Ambien here and there, since I have trouble staying asleep, and have recently become severely depressed and got some Lexapro from a friend, (I know not the best thing to do, but... such is life), but wanted to know if you had any issues taking the two.
Avatar f tn I have sleep anxiety and only sleep 4 to 5 hours a night. I feel exhausted most of the time and I am able to fall asleep with melatonin but only helps for about 4 hours. I've tried Ambien, Clonazepam and everything over the counter. Clonazepam seemed to work but it's a controlled drug so I would like to get off it. Has anyone tried Rozerem? It's not a controlled drug. Thoughts or experience on Rozerem would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn 30pm, fell asleep at about 1:00am, woke up at eleven. Oh my gosh...I feel great..All I needed was sleep. Now I feel so much stronger mentally, knowing Im gonna get sleep tonight.. I know this my seem corny to some of you, but I never had a sleep problem until I quit the hydrocodones that I was addicted to for three years. So those of you that just quit, don't give up you will get through the withdrawls and feel like yourself again. So if you want to ask me a question, please do.
Avatar f tn My problem is the opposite.. I can't get to sleep until 2 am but I'm fine once I get to sleep unless anything wakes me.. then that's me awake.
Avatar m tn Ok so sometimes when I wake up I can hear my tv but I can't really move. I move very slowly and I try and wake my self up. And its really hard to. Sometimes I try to open my eyes with my hands but when it happens but I feel so weak so even doing that is very very hard and most of the time I can't do it. And when I eventually wake up I feel very tired and I fall right back asleep and it just keeps happening. Usually 3-4 times. I'm 13 years young and have no idea what is happening.
Avatar m tn However, there is no known interaction between rozerem and sertraline. You could try and adopt good sleep hygiene measures like going to bed at the same time, waking up at the same time, avoidance of alcohol, smoking and caffeinated beverages. Try and maintain a warm, comfortable bedroom environment and engage in relaxing activities like a warm bath before bed time. Hope This Helped and Do Keep Us Posted.
