7126533 tn?1388405470 t miss a dose (currently 4 x daily starting at 10am) My consultant has now suggested trying Slow Mag (Slow release magnesium) in hopes that I can reduce the number of Ropinirole I have to take to be able to function normally. Knowing that the Ropinirole can become less effective with time, I am happy to give the Slow Mag a try but was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this in connection with Slow Mag...
Avatar m tn Don't know what you're working on. Time release is slow release. When I managed health food stores the saying about time release was, expensive urine or bowel movements, since the body evacuates before the stuff comes out of the capsule.
Avatar m tn Can someone tell me how this works? I was told to take 90mg of slow release armour one when I get up (1 hour before food) and 1 x 1hr before lunch.. I never heard of slow release armour.
Avatar f tn ve just been prescribed 80mg of slow release proprananol to help severe blushing to neck/chest. I've taken it for two days now and I don't think its working. I was in a stressfull encounter yesterday and the old familiar feeling made an appearance. It was a little less severe although it was still a multitude of blotches. I feel disheartened, would it be ok to take another tablet per day or is that too much? Has this happened to anyone else and any suggestions.
620048 tn?1358018235 My pulmomologist gave me ropinirole (Requip) because i have so much movement in my limbs, especially my feet, when I am sleeping and when I am awake too. I was looking up the drug and i found this side effect........ 'Some people using ropinirole have developed a gambling habit. It is not known whether ropinirole actually causes this effect. Talk with your doctor if you believe you have an unusual urge to gamble while you are taking ropinirole.
Avatar f tn Seeking the small town, farm, slow pace and American dream of life. Digging in deep with enjoying the mild winter and active from dawn to dusk. Then this rls stopped me in my tracks and I joined, what I like to call "Zombie Walkers". Three weeks and 40ish hours total sleep and their urgent care dr gave me requip and ambian. A month later I found a family dr and she added gabapentin. The pain is unbelievable!
Avatar f tn Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day. For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin.
Avatar m tn I have been taken Ropinirole for sometime now and it helps a little. As for sleep,I get very little of.
Avatar n tn sometimes Ropinirole (Requip) is also used to treat the sexual side efects of ssri
Avatar f tn Hi, Not sure about everyone else but I know that for me the restless legs is one of the worst symptoms. I told my doctor that I was struggling and he prescribed me Ropinirole tablets, one to take before bedtime. I took one last night and, fingers crossed, it seemed to work. Most of you are probably aware of this but for those who aren't, it might be worth a try.
Avatar f tn Well the past like week every time I cough I usually release a bit of fluid which I was assuming was urine. I just woke up soaked. Went to the bathroom it felt like a tiny but came out but not the pee spot lol. I then peed and Ive done 10 min on one side now I'm doing 10 min on the other & I'm going to see if I accumulate anymore fluid. I'm 15.1. I'm kinda nervous.
Dog Hi, I take Ropinirole (Requip), and this mefication over the years has worked really well. But as you know what might work great for one patient might not work great for another. But maybe worth a try.
1830047 tn?1321667793 Nothing is being done for me right now. Neuro did emg almost for free b/c of feeling like having tremors in legs and arms 24/7. I am pretty sure the toe thing is caused by weakness b/c I keep busting tips. Not sure exactly what is cutting off the pain b/c it isn't reliable. Neuro said last time it may just be under-treated fibro... I can understand that sort of. Doesn't explain a lot though - at least he finally takes me seriously.
Avatar f tn I was dx with RLS after feeling like my legs had a mind of their own....ropinirole 2x a day.
Avatar m tn I used to take a slow-release Propranolol 80 mg every day, which caused severe tiredness and extreme fatigue, to the point that I was not able to think straight and sometimes could not even get out of bed. Apparently, Propranolol also inhibits the ability for you to burn fat, not to mention gastrointestinal issues. Depression is also significantly higher when taking Propranolol.
Avatar f tn So they have in ropinirole (I forgot how to spell it) but 1mg doesn't seem to be working. :( what other meds can I request?

Avatar n tn The compounder at drug crafters (www.drugcrafters.com) say that most of the doctors that get compounds made there, ask for the SR (slow release) formula.
Avatar f tn Metoprolol come is both slow release and in normal release, the normal release is much lower cost in the USA and is called Metoprolol Tartarait (sp?). I used the slow release once a day for a few years but got approval to move to the regular release taken at 1/2 the former dose rate, but I take it twice a day. I do not suffer from SVT, but I do take BB.
19862199 tn?1485638253 The medication may well be the problem. A time release medication will release an initial smaller amount. A non time release will give you a much bigger starting jolt. So if you are on either Ritalin or Adderall - non time release - ask your doc to try the same med in a time release medication. If you are already on a time release, then perhaps talk to you doc about it. You might be slightly over medicated. All meds have a length of duration.
