What is the average lifespan, prognosis for systemic amyloidosis??
He said that it was absurd to think that a five year study could demonstrate such a link, that it takes longer for a drug to cause cancer. I have to assume that he also thinks its absurd to think that it would only take five years for a drug to cause a cancer that was 'dormant' to become active (detectable). Do you agree?

However, the type of edema associated with Tarceva use is either generalized or involves a swelling of both legs. Swelling in only one leg may not be due to this drug. Unilateral leg swelling may be due to a local infection (cellulitis) in that area.
I have had a return of my ovarian cancer, from six years ago, now located in my lymph nodes. My oncologist originally put me on a protocol of paciltaxil, carboplatin, and gemcitibine for six months after my ovarian cancer surgery. Now she has started me on paciltaxil and carboplatin. However, I had a reaction after my second treatment, ninth overall after seven the first time, to the carboplatin with a spike in my blood pressure and a rash breakout.
I have taken OxyCodone (Percocet) for the last few years due to pain from breast cancer surgeries. I take 2 oxycodone in the a.m usually 7am 5/325. Then 2 again in the evening prior to bed. I also take morphine at the same time. The issue is this, I took a drug test, by my doctor, the test came out negative. Test taken at 2pm. I did not miss any doses and I did take my morning dose. Can anyone tell me why.

There is no evidence that indicates treatment causes Cancer. Then again, we never know what the future holds for anyone who has taken any drug down the road.
What may give you Cancer is Cirrhosis. This is why many of us that have Cirrhosis from Hep C are advised to be scanned every 6 months for Liver Cancer. If Cancer is then caught at an early stage it can be treated and hopefully cured.

Is there a drug which can be used by a patient with a brain tumor other than mophine (odine ) which has very bad effect even in a small doze . odine makes patient extremely weak and sleepy and difficult to wake up. She is taking panadol three times a day for neck and shoulder pain .
Yep, copaxone does seem the safest. It was my drug of choice but I was unlucky as I reacted badly to the glatimer acetate (think that's the correct spelling1) I think that's quite rare though.
Just to point out though, the drugs don't ALWAYS damage your body. well, at least I hope they don't anyway as I'm about to start on rebif!
