s a day, 80 mg of celexa, 150 mg of welbutrin sr, 30 mg of abilify, and 1 mg of requip. I would like to be able to go out with my friends and be able to have a few drinks for my birthday but I'm scared of the interaction with all this medication and alcohol. What could possibly be the side effects of mixing all of these.
I have had RLS for about 2 years, and it has gotten progressively worse. I take 1mg of Requip in the morning, and NOW (I just started) I take 1 mg. in the afternoon, and 2mg. at night. Now I'm finding that my right leg is SERIOUSLY worse than the other leg, and I can't even sit for more than 15 minutes without having to move around and stretch and the whole nine yards. This, after taking all my meds. I don't know what to do, isn't 4 mg. kind of a large amount of Requip?
I HAVE RLS FOR MANY YEARS AND I AM ON 3MG REQUIP AND 1 MG KLONPIN, THAT HAS BEEN HELPING UP TO NOW. I DISCOVERED THAT MY THYROID IS VERY LOW. COULD THAT BE WHY MY RLS IS GETTING WORSE. I REALLY NEED SOME SLEEP!!! WHAT OTHER MEDS ARE HELPFUL. I REALLY HAVE ALOT OF PAIN IN MY LEGS ALSO. THANKS FOR AMY HELP.
This result met with little concern. After diagnosis RLS 10/07 started Requip. Worked like magic from first .Actual RLS symptoms abated, bad wakings CEASED. Was at 2 mg nightly. End 1/08 small weight gain, minor edema. Short of breath. Suddenly symptoms increased.Gained more than 25 lbs in 10 weeks.Feet/ ankles/ fingers/abdomen terribly swollen. All sorts of tests including kidney,liver,congestive heart failure. No answers. Back to neuro.
requip during the day and 2 mg. requip at night along with klonopin and other sleep aids. I just split my head open walking around the house unawares. 6 stiches and broken lamps. I asked my doc about early onset of parkinson's.........is this what they go thru? I haven't slept a 7 hour night in at least 8 years. No bs. Usually I sleep 2-4 hours. I'm trying to get some barbituates from overseas because I'm so desperate. Gosh, I could relate to you.
Has anybody had success with requip? If so, what dosage of requip worked for you? They have .25, .5, 1.0, and 2.0.
Do you take the medicine at night only or during the day too?
I really appreciate your help. I made it 14 days off hydros last year, but the RLS was agonizing and I gave in. I want to do EVERYTHING I can to help ease this upcoming hell.
Have been taking Lexapro 20 mg for about a year and very much improved. Unable to acieve orgasm even with erection. How long does thia side effect last after weaning off Lexapro with doctor's approval???
I found a doc that put me on suboxone. I made the transition and was on suboxone about 8 months, slowly tapering down from 24 mg, to finally about 2-4 mg a day, the clinic closed about the time i was going to try to get off completely.
Immediately after quiting the suboxone i went into quite serious withdrawals this surprised me because of the small dose i was down to.
I immediately developed restless leg syndrome.
Since I already have RLS, will I have to look forward to an increase in the severity of my RLS??? I am very worried. I take Requip (ropinirole) for RLS but it is not a total relief of it. RLS is hell as you dread going to bed, you dread movies, you dread airplanes as you know that your legs will instantly start to ache and you will have the compulsion to constantly move them to relieve the discomfort.
2 months later, dyskinesia occurred in tongue/jaw, drooling returned. Sinemet dosage then was decreased to 2 per day 25/250 (9am, 2pm), Requip 0.125 (9pm). Dyskinesia improved. 1.5 month ago, teeth grinding started day and night. She is now taking 3 per day sinemet 25/175, 25/175, 25/100 (9 am, 1pm, 5:30pm), and Requip 0.125 every other day(9pm). Teeth grinding improved 50% at least (5:30pm sinemet uses low dosage because it looks like impact her falling into sleep even with Rozerem.
Has anyone tried Requip for Restless Legs while trying to detox off of Subutex or Suboxone? This is the worst part for me in trying to get off of Subutex & I am literally scared sh**less of them. I had them so bad that I almost over-dosed on Klonopin & Somas (from a family member) to rid myself of them. I am on less than 1 mg of Subutex a day now & having anxiety & diarrhea. That I can handle, but the RLS I can not. Any advice or experience would be great!
our father who is 78 is starting to hallucinate he was hospitalized about a month ago for pneumonia.he was also taking requip for his restless legs,the doc. took him off of requip because of side affects 4 days ago. we dont know if that could be the cause of his condition or not,he also had a cat scan of the brain, it was normal.he sees people that are not there, he realizes later that it is not real. he is getting depressed and scared,we dont know what to do anymore.
Any time I sit down from about 11 am on I feel the creepy crawlies, then the kicking, stretching starts. I take a 2 mg Requip at bedtime and now my doctor has added a 1 mg Klonopin. That makes me so sleepy I'm usually in bed by 7:30 which I hate. How does a person get through the day with RLS symptoms. I forgot to add I have had RLS for many years but it continues to get worse.
There is a medication called Requip that can be very helpful with RLS for the few month after the acute withdrawals. Ask a physician to prescribe it for you. Also try Magnesium 400 mg in the evening as well. It is over the counter and can be quite helpful. I am so proud of you.
She is currently on 200 mg of Zoloft...in addition to Depekote, and Klonopin. Her RLS was being treated with a very high dose of Requip but has recently been switched to something else; some sort of patch. Nothing is working. Her life is a very sad story due to the mental illness. She lives in a nursing home because she had a stroke 4 years ago which left her somewhat physically and congnitievly (sp) impaired, and because of the mental illness she can become difficult.
I am taking meripex, eight .5 mg pills per day. They did work fine at a much lower dose but they slowly lost the ability to control the problem.
They are getting so bad that I am almost useless to try and do anything. I have to stand up and bounce my legs or walk. I can't do much of that.
I will ask my doctor about Gabapentine.

I got out of jail was there 5 days was takn 55 mg of methadone over a yr wen I got out didn't want to go back so I'm kicking cold Turkey but I want to recover wat all does my body need that I dnt naturally have no more I feel crappy
At first the doctor prescribed me tramadol 50 mg, then she prescribed Requip 15 mg and now they prescribed me Meripex .0125 mg. My question is Why none of those medicines I just mentioned help me with the symptoms I have? It's really annoying I can't sleep at all I have to be walking up and down so it won't hurt that much and feel tired all the time ( I think is because I can't sleep) and i don't have any kind of sexual appetite. Can somebody help me?
Besides Mirapex, the other medications that are approved to treat Restless Legs Syndrome are Neurontin, Requip and Neupro. I recommend speaking to your doctor about these medications to see if one may be appropriate for you.
As briefly as I can recount , I have severe RLS I was originally on a drug called Requip and that augmented i.e. got worse and symptoms Spread to other parts of my body and I had to quit Taking it. When you stop Requip your symptoms increased tenfold for about two to four weeks or longer.
During this time I found through research oxycodone to be an effective symptom reliever especially during this period. I found this to be true and I took 5 to 7.
