Requip and xanax

Common Questions and Answers about Requip and xanax

requip

Avatar n tn s a day, 80 mg of celexa, 150 mg of welbutrin sr, 30 mg of abilify, and 1 mg of requip. I would like to be able to go out with my friends and be able to have a few drinks for my birthday but I'm scared of the interaction with all this medication and alcohol. What could possibly be the side effects of mixing all of these.
Avatar f tn My current sleep doctor feels that Sinemet, a dopamine replacement, should be reserved for use after dopamine agonists such as Requip and Mirapex are no longer useful. I can give you a few hints on optimizing the effectiveness of your Sinemet rather than keep raising dose: No protein to eat unless long enough before dose for the food to have already passed thru the small intestine. Small amout of starchy food food can help when taking med, but no large amounts of food before taking the med.
1225279 tn?1295545587 progressively stop medications, especially lamictal and topamax, verapamil and vicodin.
Avatar n tn The medications I was tried on in standard use were Miraplex, Aricept, Bachlophen and Requip and Xenazine was considered as were Botox injections depending on the extent of the spasmic activity. I was then tried on more experimental medications such as Zofran (which is an approved medication in clinical study for tardive) and the nature remedy rhodiola (which can be taken under the supervision of a neurologist).
135456 tn?1301437624 I have been seeing a psychiatrist for it but anti-depressants don't touch the panic or anxiety and the only temp relief I get is from the 2x's a day xanax I take but these only last for about 4 hours. Before my numerous hep c treatments I never experienced panic or anxiety and don't no what to do next . I can't live like this. Anyone have suggestions on other long lasting anti-anxiety meds available besides the antidepressants. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have been diagnosed with RLS and requip worked for you well until it was determined to be causing side effects, and you were switched to Sinemet. One known side effect of Requip is swelling in the legs; it sounds like you had an extensive evaluation for all the symptoms you began experiencing after January 2008. Sinemet works well for RLS symptoms, but has a higher risk of eventually causing what is called augmentation, or the occurrence of symptoms earlier in the day.
Avatar n tn I kept kicking things, and shaking my legs all day long and even at night I felt like i had to keep tossing and turning. My doctor gave me xanax to help that. I have had to stop taking it and my legs are at it again but its not as bad since coming off of opiates. It will take a couple months, maybe a few but it will lessen as time goes on. :) Be careful with the valium.
Avatar n tn I cant offer you any natural remedies as I dont know any. I used xanax to get me through that part of WD (Im prescribed it and have been on it for years, but dont overuse or abuse it). I hope it passes soon for you!!!
Avatar n tn It is supposed to be worse after long night without sinemet (requip 0.125 is given every other night and no significant distinguish between with and without it) Sinemet suppose to make motion better and it DID make her better before. Or Dyskinesia completely overridden others (but the Dyskinesia is happened in the jaw/tongue and I don't see any tremor in legs/feet) I tried to find a logic explanation, but no luck! Can this imply sinemet is no good for her anymore?
667261 tn?1225473853 Does anybody know of any other drug or therapy that might work for RLS. I have tried so many drugs and most make my RLS worse. Valium, Xanax etc are terrible, any kind of sleep aid or muscle relaxant make my RLS worse also. Any suggestions would be great.
Avatar f tn Dear Kat, I do know that taking Requip itself can cause hallucinations. But he's been taken off it. Now, stopping Requip can cause confusion. So, I don't know what to make of it. I do recall when I had pneumonia, I was out of my mind, and I have never taken Requip. I suppose it's possible he's having a combination of fever hallucinations, left-over Requip hallucinations, and withdrawal confusion. Any way you look at it, he's having a very hard time.
691935 tn?1421027090 a lot of good suggestions. It is extremely annoying. I did have RLS b4 tx but geez I'm like totally insane with it now. It is not consistant. So, sometimes it is too late to take a sleeping pill - i'm a lightweight and I won't be able to get up in the AM. I'll try the massage and look into the requip.
Avatar n tn I took requip for about five years - worked, no problem. Then about 4 months ago, I started getting, out of the blue and for no obvious reason, anorexia, nausea, and finally light stomach ache. After a lot of investigative stuff, including an EGD, my gastroenterologist discovered the cause: I had become allergic to requip. Just a note of caution.
514273 tn?1311609635 The plan was to always go CT from here. I only bought 3 Subs off the streets and threw away the person's contact info as soon as possible. Because of my addictive nature, it was the best course of action. It was a very restless night, but very manageable compared to previous attempts. I'm in the office and i can't keep my legs from shaking and these dang hot flashes and cold sweats keep coming and going.
Avatar f tn that only means 2 hours after I take thyroid, but I also read on synthroid list not to take calcium for 4 hrs after taking synthroid. I take one caplet in am and one in pm for calcium, and 600 mg calcium and 400 D.
584512 tn?1301271985 I agree, My worst was RLS too...like you joangry, i also had it growing up, and every pregnancy, and that was without stopping meds..I also tried the requip, and i don't think it helped at all...Like everyone else, just he hot baths, and wrapping them helped... I hope they go away soon for you...Congrats on day 19!!!
Avatar n tn Trying to taper off and get off opiates, morphine and oxy. can clonidine be taken at the same time to help with not having as much of the opiates? and help with the withdrawls?
Avatar f tn I wanted to go to the hospital so bad, I had every symptom you can imagine along with some really scary ones, hallucinating, hearing things, it was so scary and awful I cannot do that again! During those 10 days tho I was out of Sub and also ran out of my Xanax so do you think that withdrawal period was 10x worse due to me coming off Norco, sub & Xanax? I do not take Xanax anymore or anything for that matter except the Norco.
Dog Besides Mirapex, the other medications that are approved to treat Restless Legs Syndrome are Neurontin, Requip and Neupro. I recommend speaking to your doctor about these medications to see if one may be appropriate for you.
Avatar n tn s a day, 80 mg of celexa, 150 mg of welbutrin sr, 30 mg of abilify, and 1 mg of requip. If I consumed alcohol while on this medication could it cause my Blood Alcohol Content to appear higher than what it actually is?
620048 tn?1358018235 My pulmomologist gave me ropinirole (Requip) because i have so much movement in my limbs, especially my feet, when I am sleeping and when I am awake too. I was looking up the drug and i found this side effect........ 'Some people using ropinirole have developed a gambling habit. It is not known whether ropinirole actually causes this effect. Talk with your doctor if you believe you have an unusual urge to gamble while you are taking ropinirole.
Avatar f tn requip during the day and 2 mg. requip at night along with klonopin and other sleep aids. I just split my head open walking around the house unawares. 6 stiches and broken lamps. I asked my doc about early onset of parkinson's.........is this what they go thru? I haven't slept a 7 hour night in at least 8 years. No bs. Usually I sleep 2-4 hours. I'm trying to get some barbituates from overseas because I'm so desperate. Gosh, I could relate to you.
Avatar n tn m totally becoming homeless and the doctors are trying to find me any relief. Requip and gapapintin is what I been on for years and other types including patches Nupro to little help and now Requip is to little help and a couple hours of sleep night after night I worry is this. I'm off work do to showing positive COVID-19 with that being said you see I'm battling some difficult things.
1986130 tn?1326767295 A physician may be able to prescribe you some Neurontin (gabapentin) for general malaise, anxiety and muscle cramps, Requip for the restless leg syndrome and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia. The reason for this longer depression and insomnia symptoms is because Tramadol, besides affecting the opioid receptors, has an effect on the serotonin receptors in the central nervous system.
Avatar f tn It's possible that you have a real medical issue with RLS and if that's the case Requip works great and it's not addictive! On the other hand if it does have something to do with w/d's then I would suggest eating bananas as they really do help. If the bananas don't work after a few days then I would go to your doctor and tell him what's going on with your legs and he will probably give you the Requip. I'm currently taking it and with no side effects at all.
