706949 tn?1228923298 I take it your reference article is in Wikipedia. From what I've seen there on heart subjects there is a lot of "good stuff", or so it appears. I understand too that some (much?) of what's there is from voluntary contirbuitons. That said, I recommend you discuss with the prescribing doctor and let s/he know you've see such-and-such as a point-of-reference ... it may even be a good idea to print out the material and take it with you.
Avatar m tn But given different benchmarks as below 1. Wikipedia and body.com say ars temp can be mild but freedom health says ars fever are high temperature 2. Wikipedia and many websites say acute hiv symptoms occur 2-4 weeks after exposure but body.com says ars can occur upto 2 months. I agree that symptoms are variable. Shall anyone give clarity on above.
Avatar f tn I have read a lot about "invisible cuts" permitting the entry of HIV. Take a look at wikipedia and masturbation. It states that "tiny mico tears" can allow for HIV to enter the body. Is this bs? Or true? Under what circumstances is it true?

This part of the migraine is called a Migraine Aura. You do not need to have a headache to have a migraine.
597183 tn?1226814437 Probably a stupid question, but I read on Wikipedia that if you have >1000 PVCs per day, it can cause enlargement of the heart? Just worries me a bit, because I probably definitely have over 1000 a day.
Avatar n tn In this case I can safely suggest reading about MRI scans on Wikipedia. I've had a MRI scan before, on the brain. The Wikipedia article should thoroughly explain the process for you.
Avatar m tn I am absolutely not questioning your expertise, but on wikipedia it is stated that oral sex has a risk for HIV, albeit very small (1 per 10,000). And is it possible to have HIV for 11 years and not having any complaints at all?

Avatar m tn //upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d7/Kc_simulation2.png/220px-Kc_simulation2.png). When travelling in the car, I have difficulty identifying speed limit signs showing anything from 30, 50, 60, 80,90 since they all look like a blurred 80 until I am about 5 yards from them which is not satisfactory for driving purposes. When I saw the ophthalmologist last I complained about my visual deterioration and he said it was due to the scarring and nothing could be done.
Avatar m tn t recommend seeking answers about ANYTHING from Wikipedia. ANYONE can create a Wiki page, nothing needs to be verified. Like Teak said, you conclusively do not have HIV...time to move on.
Avatar m tn What worries me the most that now in week 4 I have headache and strong sensitivity of my eyes to sunlight. On Wikipedia it says that these are among the very common sympthoms of acute infection. When I asked one of the doctors at my clinic she said that this is true and might be caused by the virus. As my clinic doesn’t support me at all on this maybe some expert is here who can reassure that these are strong signs for infection.

Hoaxes are presented as fact, conspiracy theories are offered as truth, and some of them may even end up on Wikipedia, one of the most-visited sites online.
Avatar n tn //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSRI#Contraindications_and_drug_interaction It says that benzodiazepines like alprazolam (Xanax) or diazepam (Valium) (klonopin is also a benzo) along with SSRIs (paxil/prozac) may increase blood levels and risk of toxicities. IF this is true 4) Why am I prescribed Klonopin with the Prozac (and previously the Paxil?) I have had no problems with mixing the two together but I'm curious as to why it would say that in wikipedia. Thanks!
