Common Questions and Answers about Rebif resource center

rebif

Avatar m tn All, GTL wrote to me in a PM - he is taking a serious look at the resources and services offered to us through our drug companies. What works. What doesn't. What would we like to see more of. This is our chance to speak up - and I'll be happy to go first. I would like to view Shared Solutions - my DMD mfg's company - as a partner and resource to me. When I call, the reps are almost always friendly but I feel like I hear the same thing over and over.
572651 tn?1530999357 The Comparison of Alemtuzumab and Rebif® Efficacy in Multiple Sclerosis (CARE-MSSM) I and II studies are designed to determine the safety and effectiveness of the investigational drug alemtuzumab as compared to the FDA-approved therapy Rebif (interferon beta-1a), in adults with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The studies will look for differences between these drugs on the progression of disability and in the number of relapses (flare-ups) and brain lesions caused by MS.
Avatar f tn Just trying to get my head around starting drugs have known had MS since 06 listed as proable until next relapse although they were sure I had it two weeks ago half head went numb now have to decide which I want to take I am leaning towards rebif any would be great .
398059 tn?1447945633 I went to the place my neurologist sent me. That was easy. The center where I will be going is one of the two centers that are close to where I live and the one that my insurance accepts. Fortunatly for me I live in a fairly liberal, educated, and resource enhanced area. I guess that is why we moved here after all.
Avatar f tn DMD stands for disease-modifying-drug. CRAB is copaxone, rebif, avonex and betaseron. VEP is visual evoked potential... hmmm, can't remember any more!
Avatar m tn I did Jan 22, the pregnancy resource center told me my Due date was sept 6th that was my First ultrasound. So that will help with the Conceived date?? See my doctor said that the resource center wasnt correct which makes me puzzle. Does that help you any?
Avatar f tn Hi Jen, We've not met. I'm Shelly and I'm on Rebif. You'll be contacted to receive your Rebif script, and a nurse covering your area will contact you to find a time to come visit (will also make sure you received the meds - which you'll keep in the fridge). He or she will teach you and whoever else you want to learn the injection techniques. The nurse will also talk to you about your MS, the meds and possible side affects, etc.
Avatar f tn You probably already located this, but I found on the University of Toledo Medical Center website a phone number for the referral resource center with Dr. Grubb's picture on there- for an appointment, they say to call 1-800-556-5444. See private message for more info.
1896537 tn?1381900009 I've got the nurse coming out tomorrow to take me through my first Rebif injection but this morning I've woken up with cold sores covering almost my entire lower lip....is it still ok to go ahead with starting rebif or should I put it off til I'm less run down? sorry if this is a silly question but I want to get off to a good start being as I have waited so long to start a dmd!
Avatar n tn Ok . . . so who out there has conceived while injecting with a DMD - I am on Rebif and am one month pregnant (oops). Did you stop your injections? My perinatal appointment is next Wednesday (three shots away) and am just curious if anyone had an experience:) Thanks!
Avatar f tn This is a thank you rather than a question but about 18 months ago I posted with my concerns about possible MS after 10 years of symptoms and 2 previous generations of my family with MS. I got practical and concerned comments that gave me the courage to change my doctor (who would not refer me to a neurologist), present a detailed list with dates to my new doctor who referred me straightaway to a Neurologist.

Avatar n tn Please see a copy of my review below that I have posted across social media regarding my deeply regrettable thyroid surgery experience with Dr. Michael J Campbell II at UC Davis in Sacramento, California. I’m reaching out to see if there are any resources for a patient in my difficult circumstances. I just saw and endocrinologist (Dr. Kearnon Welch) at UC Davis who told me that I had the "good" kind of cancer.

Avatar f tn I would visit the website of the transplant center where you may have the transplant done. Also the UNOS web site is a very comprehensive resource for many issues concerning TPs. http://www.transplantliving.org/ This excellent document explains "What every patient needs to know" about transplants. http://www.unos.org/SharedContentDocuments/WEPNTK2008.pdf Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) calculator is here. http://www.unos.org/resources/meldPeldCalculator.
Avatar m tn I have MS and have been taking Rebif foe 7 years. It has worked very well. I just learned that my current drug insurance plan from Humana will not cover Rebif in 2015. What plans cover at least some of the Rebif cost? My copay with Humana was about $300 per month. Would like not to exceed this amount.
Avatar f tn Yes, I am on rebif for 11 months and must take advil liquid gels To stave off headache fever that wakes me up!
