Common Questions and Answers about Rebif cartridge

Avatar m tn The last time I used Follistim I got pregnant before the cartridge was done, but I intended to keep it in the pen until the cartridge was empty. The first time I used Follistim I used it for 7 days and then coasted the rest of the cycle b/c I had too many similar sized follicles and my RE wanted to the small ones to stop growing. My RE won't do an IUI if there are too many mature follicles - prefers 3, max 4. I think the duration of treatment depends on how well you respond.
374593 tn?1257879950 but i realized this cycle they called in only a 300iu cartridge of the follistim for me.. last cycle (three months ago which we got preg from) i had a 600iu cartridge, since i was taking a slightly higher dosage..anyhow.. if i take the same dosage i took last time, i'll be out of my new cartridge early.. does anyone know how long the already opened one should last? i've had it in the fridge for a little over three months, would it still be good>? THANKS SO MUCH!
Avatar f tn I got my eyebrows tattooed at a beauty salon that has a certificate (per 3 years) from the ministry of health in my country. Although she used a new needle and new ink, I'm concerned whether she followed sterilization for the rest of the materials that may or may not be disposable. She used the top part of the tattoo pen's cartridge to spread the numbing cream through my eyebrows before using the needle.
894231 tn?1293843983 Most of the information is only available with some code provided to individuals who have a Rebismart, but I did gather that the medicine cartridge must be changed weekly, while the needle (hidden in a seperate unit??) must be changed daily. There are special care and maintenance steps which don't occur with the present Rebiject. And obviously, as the Rebismart is electronic, it will use up batteries or a/c power from a charging base of some sort.
Avatar f tn The needle was new but the cartridge had been used. I am freaking out because he has Hep C. What are my chances of contracting this virus? Help!!
Avatar f tn Can I use my opened Follistim from late Aug (past the 28 recommended days)? 2. I have been offered a 600iu cartridge from someone at the same clinic, that has had 75iu used. Are either of these options safe?
1002983 tn?1349822086 I opened a new cartridge on August 12, but only used one dose, as I had over-responded, growing too many follies. There is still about 325iu in the cartridge. It's in the fridge, and my RE told me the other day I could use it for my next cycle. It will be by then about 40 days since it was opened. Two of the nurses told me I shouldn't use it, and I was just wondering, if anyone has any ideas here?
Avatar m tn The problem was that what I though was an empty cartridge still contained a good amount of gas. When I first started to loosen the cartridge I heard some hissing but thought it was just some residual gas getting out. As I loosened it a bit more gas came out with generous flow. I quickly tightened it back so the actual leak was only for a couple of seconds. However the smell of the gas was quite intense and quickly spread across our house.
534553 tn?1281991313 With the Follistim pen, my dosen was 300 units but the Follistim cartridge had 900 units in it and it lasted me for 3 nights...so you adjust the pen to the number of units, 300 for me, and inject. But you leave the cartridge in the pen for two more injections and store in the refridgerator as is. The next night all you have to do is dial your dose and inject. Then you change your cartridge when it is empty 3 nights later. Kathy is right...
Avatar f tn So as they were about to do the piercings at the same time the one lady alerted the other one that something were wrong with the stud in the cartridge and so she took the piercing gun and disposable cartridge out of my view into another room as I were staying with my little girl.. So I never saw what she did with the gun or the stud used to pierce my girls ear... Im worried Sick I never in that situation realised the risk I put my child in..
Avatar m tn I have MS and have been taking Rebif foe 7 years. It has worked very well. I just learned that my current drug insurance plan from Humana will not cover Rebif in 2015. What plans cover at least some of the Rebif cost? My copay with Humana was about $300 per month. Would like not to exceed this amount.
Avatar f tn Yes, I am on rebif for 11 months and must take advil liquid gels To stave off headache fever that wakes me up!
1326103 tn?1282576084 Then when it stops you see how much you have left to put in you, take out the old needle and cartridge, pop in the new cartridge (if it is just coming out of the fridge - let it get to room temp - doesnt hurt then) , put on new needle and twist the knob to whatever number you had left to put in!
Avatar f tn Hi, about 12 hours ago I swallowed a plastic thc cartridge. Size is 35mm by 18 mm and it is rounded but kind of flat. I don’t seem to feel any “symptoms” and am looking for guidance or support. If there is a way to upload a picture of what I swallowed I can.
Avatar f tn So the ins company wont pay for Copaxone or Gilynia until my daughter first tries Rebif (i guess because its cheaper for them.) I have a concern with her being on an interferon due to the possible mental health side effects. She is already on Lexapro for anxiety and mild depression. I dont want anything adding to the issue. We have dr app tomorrow to discuss Rebif but I dont want her on it. Anyone have bad side effects with Rebif??? Any advise for me?? Thank you.
11924850 tn?1601364171 Hello. Does anyone take Rebif for MS? Is it helping? How long before any improvement? Does anyone think that it's just a false hope with nasty side effects? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I have been on Rebif for four months now, and I am not going to do another shot, I can't handle the side effects. I've tried premedicating and nothing seems to work. How many of you are in the same situation? and what did you do?
Avatar f tn I took my first shot of Rebif today. I gave myself the shot and i thought this is great no stinging, no redness, no lump like i had with Copaxone. Then WHAM!!!! I had abdominal pain about an hour after the shot it lasted for about 6hrs The only thing i could compare it to was a 6hr nonstop labor pain. We will see what happens Monday when i take the next shot. Does anyone else get this abdominal pain on Rebif.
Avatar n tn Is there anyone using Rebif for MS? if so how are you getting on with this treament?
Avatar f tn Is anyone currently taking Rebif? And does anyone know anything about it? I was just (finally) diagnosed with MS, though my Neuro wouln't say which kind it was... and is planning on putting me on Rebif. It's been 2 years since my symptoms started, and haven't had any kind of relapse or relief in any symptoms, they just keep coming.
